Do again The Things You Have Done Before and Have Failed

There is a spiritual awakening happening in many, God is releasing a deeper revelation of himself to which many are holding unto and navigating the times that we are in.

Yes, we have been on the subject of Spiritual Growth, we are observing that truly, those who are growing in the Lord are those who let go of self ambitions, those who are emptying themselves, counting all things which are to their gain as dung, that they may win Christ.

Those who do not want to have their personalities in who they are or what they are doing even for the Lord, but what he has done for them. They are seeking to be found only in him.

We saw that this was the secret of the great Apostle Paul as it is the secret of all that would be used mightily of God.

Philippians 3:7-9
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ, And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Now the next verses open up something very beautiful for us to observe

Philippians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

Wow, the reasons for letting go of self ambition, of counting all things to his gain as dung was “That I may know him”

This is the secret of the abundance of his revelations. God can only use a nothing. God says he is I AM, beside me there is nothing. When we are something or want to be something, we are actually fighting against God. This is why God chooses the weak things, the things that are not so that only him can be the I AM that he truly is in a life.

1 Corinthians 1:26-28
For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are:

So, spiritual growth is growing up to actually become nothing in our perception of ourselves that we may be filled with the knowledge of God. We empty our false perspectives of him, we are willing to let go of all our religious doctrines just like Paul did.

A lot of Christians find it difficult doing that. They have the idea of “as it was in the beginning, so shall it be, world without end.” This is what we were thought, this is our granddaddy’s perspective, it is our Church’s doctrine, it is our family’s doctrine, we will keep it till we die. And they let go of the knowledge of God. Paul was wise, His Mama didn’t give birth to no fool.

Let’s continue looking at the rewards of counting all things as dung;

Philippians 3:10
That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death;

The next part says that we may know “the power of his resurrection” when we grow up to become nothing we are actually growing up to know and actually experience the resurrection power of Christ. This power is already on our inside but we must give way by letting go of all to our gain, every idea contrary to scripture, no matter our height and stature in the Body.

“and [so that you will begin to know] what the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His [active, spiritual] power is in us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of His mighty strength which He produced in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His own right hand in the heavenly places,” — Eph 1:20 AMP

What we seek is not outside, it is right on our inside, but until we grow up to give way for God to be The I AM, besides me nothing in our lives.

I have seen a lot of people with excellent gifting who are not just going anywhere specific, chasing shadows and living miserably. A lot of times I see people that are so good in their gifts, and I would say in my heart to the Lord, this one ought to be the one you should have chosen for so and so task, some of us you know we ought just to be back benchers, look how excellent he is, then I would remember God uses the direct opposite, nothings. I am not saying God is against being excellent or being great in our gifts, No, He is only against we finding ourselves in our gifts.

I know this may not be enticing but it sure is liberating….

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw a Christian who had done a lot of things but had failed, I saw it was rather the discipline of the Lord upon his life, but then I felt the Lord say to him “do again those things you have done before and have failed”

Was led to:

Zechariah 8:11-15
But now I will not be unto the residue of this people as in the former days, saith the LORD of hosts. For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things. And it shall come to pass, that as ye were a curse among the heathen, O house of Judah, and house of Israel; so will I save you, and ye shall be a blessing: fear not, but let your hands be strong. For thus saith the LORD of hosts; As I thought to punish you, when your fathers provoked me to wrath, saith the LORD of hosts, and I repented not: So again have I thought in these days to do well unto Jerusalem and to the house of Judah: fear ye not.

Then the Lord said “Do again the things you have done before and have failed. Now I am looking upon you with favour, the seed shall be prosperous.

I AM giving increase to all you do. The heavens this day give their dew in their season unto your seed.

I have made you a blessing and it is time you are a blessing. Fear not, l will not fail you, only let your hands be strong, for now it is in my heart to do well with you.”

Everything That was once Barren will Now Overflow

The greatness of God is surfacing even as we are in the midst of twined circumstances. It is pivotal to hold on to what you first heard or felt you were led to do by the Lord as it is key to crossing over the overwhelming waters.

Yes, we have been looking at Spiritual Growth from a humble perspective. Growing into maturity in Christendom is actually different from what happens secularly. Here in the Kingdom instead of becoming stronger in ourselves, we are daily becoming more aware of our weaknesses but as we lean unto the Lord, we are rather becoming stronger IN the Lord and not in ourselves.

We just keep loosing our self righteousness daily as we go on to be found only in Christ. When we loose ourselves another self surface which is the resurrected life of Jesus.

Paul was not the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he was used more than all the Apostles because grace made available this revelation to him. Paul wanted the resurrected life of Jesus to be made manifest in his mortal flesh but he understood that he was in the way. He must grow up to a level of giving way for that life by putting off trying to become something in himself, from trying to attain something in himself to laying hold on resurrection life.

Now look at his statement;

Philippians 3:7-8
But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ. Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

Observe the carefully this statement “I count all things but loss” he does not say I count some things but all things. Everything thing that was to his gain, he counted but dung. He actually had to suffer the loss of all things to win Christ.

He was no longer trying to be righteous in himself, he was not trying to gain anything to his credit. He counted everything about him, what he can do for himself entirely as dung. This is real death, this is the road to maturity. Then he ran to lay hold on the life of Christ. HE LEFT EVERY DESIRE OF ANYTHING TO HIS BENEFIT that he may win Christ.

Oh there is a man I have read about that God used mightily in his day, this man found the secret of growing into nothingness. The man Charles Spurgeon, if a man was greatly used in his day it was him. Thousands kept coming to Christ through his preaching.

He is the only one with the title The Prince Of Preachers. Even after his death he has been so relevant and greatly honoured up to date. He knew the secret. He always saw himself as the worst of sinners. Look at this marvelous quote from Spurgeon;

“If any man thinks ill of you, do not be angry with him; for you are worse than he thinks you to be” – C. H. Spurgeon 1834 – 1892

This is was the secret of Paul and this is the secret to be used mightily of God. This is my desire, this is my heart cry. That I become all the more nothing in all my imaginations, that I may win Christ.

Now the following verse says;

Philippians 3:9
And be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:

Observe carefully the first sentence “And be found in him” an emptying of his trophies to be found in Christ. Then the next part says “not having my own righteousness” this is where I missed it at my early Christian life. I thought maturity is growing up to be more righteous in yourself.

But Paul says no, I do not want to be righteous in myself. I don’t want to have my own righteousness which comes by working under the law to become perfect, but I am going forth by faith to lay hold on the righteousness that comes by faith in Christ.

This may seem illogical, instead of trying to gain, you loose to gain. You see yourself for who you really are, a complete dung outside of Christ, totally unprofitable, but then you forth by faith and lay hold on his resurrected life as your own.

In an encounter with the Lord I heard “Life to barrenness”

I was led to:

Behold, the days are coming,” says the LORD, “When the plowman shall overtake the one who gathers the harvest, And the one who treads the grapes [shall overtake] him who sows the seed [for the harvest continues until planting time]; When the mountains will drip sweet wine And all the hills shall melt [that is, everything that was once barren will overflow with streams of blessing].
” — Am 9:13 AMP

Then the Lord said “It is time! Now the harvest is overtaking the plowman. You have now entered the continuous flow of my provision.

Everything that was once barren will now overflow with streams of my blessing.”

Watch for I AM Exposing The Intents of The Heart

There is the sound of abundance of rain. This is not a time to relent. As many as are looking away from the chaotic circumstances the enemy is erecting to blur vision, they are encountering God in a different dimension.

Yes, there is such a thing as spiritual growth which is a very exciting subject as it is the desire of all Christians. But spiritual growth does not come the way many think. In my early days of Christianity I had it wrong, I took on a messed up theology about spiritual growth and it did put me in a lot of problems, wondering if I was ever growing.

The view I had was that, when we come to Christ we become stronger and stronger, hence I was looking forward to me becoming very strong and perfect in myself.
But as I began to walk with the Lord, I became frustrated through that view, The Lord had to give to me a better option.

First the Lord says;

Luke 9:23
“If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me.”

When the Lord says those that would come after him should deny themselves, this is not an ineffectual proclamation that many just say – I am nothing, Lord you are my all. No! this must be effectual. I am going to share on this but except the Spirit gives you the revelation it won’t be effective to you. There is an elimination of self that the Lord requires from us for our experiencing the resurrection life.

See this again;

Matthew 16:25
For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it.

There is a losing completely of your life. Everyman has this inborn desire to be successful in life. Hence, we want to be better in what we do. But here in the kingdom it is different, you loose yourself, you empty yourself to be filled.

Now I have come to understand Spiritual growth is a growing awareness of our insufficiency and a laying hold on Christ as our sufficiency. Spiritually mature Christians are those that have loosed their lives. They have discovered they are altogether unprofitable in themselves, now it is just the life of Jesus speaking for them.

You can see this worked out in Paul’s life. At first we hear Paul making this statement, asserting he is in no way behind any of the Chief Apostles;

2 Corinthians 11:5
For I suppose I was not a whit behind the very chiefest apostles.

Then as he progresses, we hear him make a different assertion. Here he disqualifies himself from the rank of the chief Apostles;

1 Corinthians 15:9
For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God.

Observe carefully the tenses; I am, not I was the least of the Apostles. From the chief Apostles to the least of the Apostles. This is not a mere statement. It is a heart condition. This is real spiritual growth. Then he goes further to say;

Ephesians 3:8
Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

From the chief Apostles to the least of all the Apostles. He is not going higher and higher as many may think but I see him declining, becoming more and more unprofitable. He still does not stop at the least of the saints, he still goes on to declare his heart condition;

1 Timothy 1:15
This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

Observe the tenses in the statement, of whom I am Chief. He does not say of whom I was chief but of whom I am Chief, presently. From the the Chief Apostles to the least Apostle to the least of the saints to the chief of sinners. This is spiritual growth.

To a point he began crying out;

Romans 7:24
O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

The more we know God, the more we see our weaknesses. The more we are closer to God, the more we see that we are undone before his holiness. Religion makes you think you are called to attain perfection in your self.

True spiritual maturity is a growing awareness of our weaknesses, sinfulness but a laying hold of the victory of the life of Christ. This is why you may be growing but in your heart you may be becoming more aware of your weaknesses and may think God is not doing much in you. If you can relate with this be glad and keep pressing on to the life of Jesus. The Apostle discovered the key is only the victory of Jesus and nothing else.

Romans 7:25
I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

In a encounter with the Lord “I saw things laid bare. God was exposing a lot of things, then I felt the Lord say “I am exposing the intents of the heart”

I was led to;

Ephesians 5:11-13
And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret. But all things that are reproved are made manifest by the light: for whatsoever doth make manifest is light.

Then the Lord said “Watch for I AM exposing the intents of the heart. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness but rather expose them.

My light is revealing even to you the hidden agendas of the enemy, as it is made manifest, you will see that it will become a revelation of myself to you. I AM is revealing my love, grace, protection and glory for and in you – for your God is light.”

I AM Making You Glad for all The Years

The enemy has muddled circumstances around many in the body of Christ. The warfare is heavy at the moment. It is good for many to realize even now that the Lord’s power is made perfect in weaknesses. When we are weak, then in him we are strong. His power is presently being perfected upon us. Keep declaring your victory, Stand! Stand!! Stand!!!

Yes, we have being looking at the subject of deliverance, observing it through the lens of the New Testament. 

We began to look at spiritual deliverance yesterday. We established that when we are born again, spiritually we are disconnected from everything from Adam and the nature of Satan. We move into a heavenly parentage where we only bear the image of the one we are born after.

You must know (recognize) that you were redeemed (ransomed) from the useless (fruitless) way of living inherited by tradition from [your] forefathers, not with corruptible things [such as] silver and gold, But [you were purchased] with the precious blood of Christ (the Messiah), like that of a [sacrificial] lamb without blemish or spot.  1Peter 1:18 AMP

As believers we are bought out, redeemed from every useless tradition we received from our forefathers, everything we inherited from our forefathers, when we became born again we were redeemed from them. Not with corruptible things as silver and gold but with the incorruptible blood of Jesus, which makes it an eternal redemption.

Now a lot of people who are already born again still go for deliverance sessions thinking they are possessed or can be possessed by some demonic power. And a lot of teachings are out there putting a lot of people in bondage to fear.  Most people trace circumstances surrounding their lives to demonic possession. Now look at what the scripture says;

Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son: Colossians 1:13

Observe the tenses “who hath delivered us.” He is not going to deliver us, we have been delivered! Born again is deliverance. And we are delivered from what? “From the power of darkness” from every authority of the devil, from every right and power of the devil over us. 

But it does not stop there, and then it says; hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:  the Greek word translated above for translated is the word methistemi methistano which means to transfer, carry away, depose etc. (Strong’s Concordance G3179).

The Lord did not deliver us to keep us where we can be repossessed but he carried us away into his kingdom, where he is the strong man over his house.

No man can enter into a strong man’s house, and spoil his goods, except he will first bind the strong man; and then he will spoil his house. Mark 3:27

This is why it is impossible for a born again believer to be possessed. We are already delivered. Our spirits cannot be owned and controlled by the devil again. It is totally impossible to possess the spirit of Christ to which we are united. These teachings are false, not scriptural and baseless.  But the word possessed means a lot of things;

The word possessed (Adjective) in the American English Dictionary means:

 1. Controlled by evil Spirits

2. Seized by powerful emotions

3. Having; Owning

 Now this is it, A Christian can be controlled by evil spirits, can be seized by powerful emotions but CANNOT be owned by demons. You can be controlled through your mind. Imaginations, thoughts when received from the enemy can control your life – for as a man thinks in his heart so is he.

 This is what you allow by your self to happen to you when you refuse to cast down imaginations and every negative thought which is against the knowledge of God. All these come to you externally through; The lust of the eyes, The lust of the flesh, and the pride of life.

Your spirit cannot be possessed but you can allow you your mind to be influenced and controlled by demons if you do not know the right word or are not fighting the good fight of faith. Now this kind of thing is not cast out by prayer. It is not a prayer problem but a knowledge problem. As a righteous man or woman, the deliverance prescribed to us is the one that comes through knowledge.

An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbor: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. Proverbs 11:9

Observe the last part of the verse “through knowledge shall the just be delivered.” It does not say the unrighteous but the righteous. The one born of God is delivered through knowledge. You can cast out demons from an unbeliever but a believer is delivered by knowledge. Despise knowledge and you will forever be in bondage despite the power you see. When you know and acknowledge that you are already delivered, it is effectual in your life. 

I know a lot of preachers that no matter the light you share on this, they never allow the word of God to get in the way of what they believe. This to them spoils there business, they enjoy the bondage of the people why they stand as there deliverers. May the LORD help his flock.

A lot of people do not understand why we go into depths trying to reveal these truths. I used to suffer depression a lot. I took on wrong knowledge and for years I was under depression. I would fast and pray and nothing would change. I remember when I would out of tears be asking the LORD, if you are who you say you really are, take away this depression. I would wait and wait to see if that would raise up his eyebrows and it never did. 

I had to let go of what I had believed and imagined and like a baby, I began to reshape by imaginations by the power of the word. Now it is totally impossible for me to be depressed, I may be tempted but I get over it in no time by the power of the spirit of his word. As powerful as prayer is we are told the righteous are delivered through knowledge and not by sessions of prayers. When you know the truth it makes you free. Get a hold on this and you are free forever.

Now the last aspect is the external deliverance where men may want to attack you physically like they always did to Apostle Paul, these are the kind of deliverances we are to seek through prayer as we go about God’s work.

Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you: And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith. 2Thessalonians 3:2

Yes, eve at this our God is faith who has, is and will continue to deliver us;

Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us; 2 Corinthians 1:9

In an encounter with the LORD, I saw the Lord doing good to a lot of people in a gathering, things they were owed were been released. It was a moment of Joy for many who had being in tears for a long time. 

For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favor is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning. Psalms 30:5

And again;

Make us glad according to the days wherein thou hast afflicted us, and the years wherein we have seen evil. Psalms 90:15

Then the Lord said “Be joyful for I AM doing well to you. In my favor is life which is what I pour upon you.

I AM making you glad for all the years you have endured evil.”

I AM Rebuilding Zion

The weight of his glory is upon us. But there is a thick contest in seeing these manifestations. God is not following a human pattern in fulfilling his promises at this time which is the reason for many questions. The way out is just to be satisfied with Christ our portion and to receive whatsoever he is doing.

There is such a thing as Deliverance which is a very good thing but has been misunderstood by most Christians. Most of us still think we are demon possessed or can be demon possessed. Others go for demonic possession deliverance linking there experiences to demon possession. As I talk on deliverance I will be focusing on the Christian. I have a way of looking at deliverance in three aspects:

1. Spiritual deliverance
2. Deliverance from Demon Possession
3. Deliverance from Wicked Men and other external wickedness.

Now spiritual deliverance can also be called born again. Every Christian is spiritually delivered or else you are not saved.

Now, someone may ask, pastor what am I delivered from?

Good question, when you are born again, you are delivered from every spiritually connection to the Adamic ancestry to a new spiritual ancestry. You do not have any spiritual connection with anything outside of God. God becomes your first ancestor and your last ancestor. You do not have any spiritual connection with your natural parentage. You are born from above, you are entirely a citizen of heaven.

The moment you you receive Jesus there is a right given to you. The authority to become the son of God. Spiritually God becomes your father and only him reserves the right to curse you.

John 1:12
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

A lot of us do not fully understand the weight of what it means to be a son of God. The main reason why Jesus was killed was because he proclaimed he was the son of God. When we say Jesus was killed I have noticed a lot people get it wrong. Jesus laid down his life freely but he did not commit suicide. Someone had to take the life of the Prince of life for the death to be effectual for us. They knew this authority;

John 5:18
Therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only had broken the sabbath, but said also that God was his Father, making himself equal with God.

Yes this is what it means to be a son of God. We are united to God and we become one with God. As he is, so are we in this world. As is the heavenly, such are they that heavenly. A lion gives birth to a lion and not a goat. Light begets light.

1 Corinthians 15:48
As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy: and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

Oh what manner of grace, what manner of love that we be called the sons of God:

1 John 3:1
Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

Oh the world does not know this, this is why we must not allow worldly doctrines to pervert our minds. We must not let the world define us, they do no know us. We are the sons of God. Now this following verse explains our birth;

John 1:13
Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Ah! The new birth is a different experience altogether, we are not born of natural blood any longer. There is a spiritual disconnection from natural ancestry when we become born again. We are no longer part of our natural parentage when it comes to spiritual things. We have left Adam the earthy with all his curses and demonic connections. We are now of the heavenly, we are the spotless seed of the Almighty God.

Then it says we were not born “of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man but of God” man has no hand in our spiritual birth. The will of man entirely is cut off from our lives when we are born and under a higher will. The will of God. This is why if your earthly parent left a will for you or any man at all left a will of curses upon you, once you are born again that will is terminated. You are born of a new will, the will of God, which is God himself our portion.

We are just beginning, but we will continue tomorrow….

In an encounter with the Lord in prayer ” I saw a church building appear, it was like a huge tent, I saw people worshiping in it and I saw others fixing the tent. Then I felt the Lord say “I am rebuilding Zion”

I was led by the Spirit to;

Isaiah 61:3-4
To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he might be glorified. And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

Then the Lord said “I AM rebuilding Zion, I am giving you beauty to ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garments of praise for the spirit of heaviness and you will be called the trees of righteousness, the planting of your God as I am glorified in you.

You have I chosen to build up the old waste, to rebuild the ancient ruins. You shall restore the pathways to which many generations shall follow. I say unto you I am rebuilding Zion.”
