The Door is Now Opened Unto You

Yes, Gleanings from the book of Galatians. Yesterday we saw that the law was our school master to bring us to Christ, now that we are in Christ we are no longer to be governed by the administration of the law, but we are to live by faith in Christ Jesus.

Then the apostle opens up something beautiful in the following verses;

Galatians 3:26
For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

Oh, as Gentiles we are now sons of God by faith in Christ Jesus. We were never called through the law, we were never given the law in the first place, it was given to the Jews and not the Gentiles.

When we fall into the bondage of trying to earn God’s goodness through the law, we are outrightly denying our sonship through faith in Christ Jesus.

The devil is good at understanding these kind of things more than we know, we give him legal right to lay curses on us when we go back to put ourselves under a system we were never called under.

Before the introduction grace and faith in Christ we could not dare be called sons of God as Gentiles. But glory to the son of God, today we are admitted into the covenant through the grace of God. Now we can boldly declare by faith in Christ that we are the sons of God with power.

Galatians 3:27
For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

Incredible, the moment we receive Jesus, we are baptized into him. We put on Christ. We become hidden in him. When God sees us today he sees Christ. He sees the beauty of his son reflecting from us.

This why the groom can boldly say to us;

Song of Solomon 4:7
Thou art all fair, my love; there is no spot in thee.

Indeed there can be no spot in us, for we are covered in the garments of salvation. We are covered with the robe of righteousness. O how we ought to rejoice;

Isaiah 61:10
I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels.

Therefore;
Galatians 3:28
There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

Wow, whether you are white, you are my beloved brother. Though you may be red, you are my beloved sister. Though you may be black it still does not change a thing, we are absolutely one in Christ.

Please Stop Saying Black Lives Matter, all lives matter. We are all one in Christ. That is a language of division. There is no bond nor free, there is no male nor female – for we are all one in Christ Jesus.

I love you dearly my reader, I hope you love me too, for we cannot be separated in Christ.

There is no difference between the Jew and the Greek. There is no special people in the eyes of God again since the introduction of the death of the son. We are all accepted and made equal in Christ.

Here Jesus is the only one special, only Jesus reigns here and not a particular race of people.

There is nothing again as a special seed of Abraham. No nation has a separate heritage from the one covenant of Abraham we are all beneficiaries from. There is nothing as – this people are the special and real seed of Abraham – we all are the seed of Abraham in Christ;

Galatians 3:29
And if ye be Christ’s, then are ye Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw someone struggling to open a door, he was using his strength to open this door but it wasn’t easy for him, then I heard the Lord say to him “Stop.” And when he did, I saw the door slowly open by itself.

Mark 16:3-4
And they said among themselves, Who shall roll us away the stone from the door of the sepulchre? And when they looked, they saw that the stone was rolled away: for it was very great.

And again

Revelation 3:8
I know thy works: behold, I have set before thee an open door, and no man can shut it: for thou hast a little strength, and hast kept my word, and hast not denied my name.

Then the Lord said, “I understand the greatness of what lies ahead of you. I know your struggles, I am acquainted with your sufferings. I am not angry with you – for I no you have little strength but you have held unto my word.

I say to you now my Child, stop the self pity, stop the struggle and keep looking to me. Do not turn back, the great stone you see before you is now being rolled away.

The door is now opened unto you my Child. Go forward with faith and hope in me.”

I AM Your Exceeding Great Reward

It does not matter what is their perception of you. All they have thought of you will fall to the ground. You are not alone, Your God, even your father is with you. Be bold and courageous and joyful, For Joy is the antidote to the evil one’s desires toward you.

Yes, Gleanings from the Book of Galatians. We saw yesterday that life does not come from the law. There is no law which has ever be given, through which we can receive life and righteousness.

Christ our life, Christ our righteousness.

Then the apostle goes further to say;

Galatians 3:22
But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

The word of God has already sentenced all of us under sin. We are all criminals before the Justice of God. You may never have stollen but you have sure broken God’s law, and you have missed at one point you are guilty of all;

James 2:10
For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all.

Under the demands of the law, you may not have committed the actual sin but since we have broken God’s law at one point or the other, we are all criminals, fornicators, idolaters, adulterers, coveters, etc outside of Jesus. This is wait the above scripture says.

“that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.”

This is the ministry of the law, that we become guilty through its demands, that the promise be given to us through faith in Jesus and not by works. This is as simple as it can get but very difficult to believe.

Look at what the next verse says;

Galatians 3:23
But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

Before faith came, before Jesus arrived on the scene, we were to live in bondage to guilt, that when faith comes on board, we would embrace the free grace of God. We would be tired of the bondage and run to faith in Christ for life.

Galatians 3:24
Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

Hence, the law did a very good Job at that. It was not given to justify us but to condemn us so we would reach out for salvation in Christ. It was our school master the apostle says, not for us to be justified by it, but so we would see our need of a saviour, lay hold on Christ and be justified by faith.

Galatians 3:25
But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

The moment you accept Jesus, the ministry of the law is ended in your life. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a school master. We are no longer to go to the school of the law to be schooled, for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believes;

Romans 10:4
For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth.

Understanding these things is the bedrock for a powerful Christian walk. I am seeing people who have turned to Christ in our short time of starting up the church see miracles in and through their lives.

I am seeing these people cast out devils, heal the sick within a short period of them receiving these teachings. Instead of them becoming more sinful as carnally minded people think, I am seeing them daring to believe that God can use them. I say this of a truth, God is actually using them.

In an encounter with the Lord, “Be Satisfied With Me” when I heard this the sense surrounded me of someone under anxiety and panic. I felt fear and dissatisfaction as though the joy of the Lord was being crushed in the heart of this person by the enemy’s devices.

When I heard this, I was led by the spirit to;

Genesis 15:1
After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Then the Lord said, “Fear not my Child. Do not be anxious I have not left you alone, I AM with you even as your shield.

Do not look to your fails attempts, do not find your identity in the things you thought were your failures.

Be satisfied with me, I AM your result. Look to me, as long as I AM with you – I AM your exceeding great reward.”

You Have Embraced My Promises

Yes, we are overcoming. It is a moment to hang in and hang on to the cross. Just keep waiting, help is on the way.

Yes, Gleanings from the Book of Galatians. We were able to see from our last discussion, that the law was not God’s main agenda, it was added because of transgression. It was added to increase sin, to make sin exceedingly sinful so man would run to Jesus for the grace of God.

But I understand that a lot people reading this won’t be satisfied with what we discussed, hence the Apostle goes on to further say in this verse;

Galatians 3:21
Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

“Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid”

I know someone may say, see? Pastor I told you, Paul even said “GOD FORBID” The law is not against God’s promises. That’s right beloved, but look further, it says something very shocking, it says;

“For if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law”

They are two things to be deduced from the above statement;

First, there had never existed any law at any time that could give life. There is no law in existence that could give life. The law does not give life the law ministers death 2Cor.3:7

Secondly, the law does not give righteousness, if it could, righteousness would have been by the law. But since it has no power to minister righteousness, Christ had to be our righteousness.

The law does not produce righteousness in us, it entered to empower and increase sin in us 1Cor. 15:56 & Romans 5:20

If there ever was a law given that could offer life and righteousness, then Christ would not have come. This is why when many say, now that we are saved, we must keep the law for righteousness, its just reveals blunt scriptural ignorance.

There has never been a law given that could offer that.

The law does not give life and righteousness, its work is to offer death and increase sin in a man when you dare look to it for life.

Christ our life, Christ our righteousness. The Holy one of God is our all and not the law.

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw a Christian waiting on God, then I saw another person With the name Promise come and embrace this Christian. And I felt the Lord say “now is the set time to fulfil my promises”

Psalms 102:13
Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.

Then the Lord said, “Now is the set time to fulfil my promises upon you. Now is the time to favour Zion.

I have risen out of my holy habitation to show you my mercy. My favour will now manifest as my promises have embraced you.

Yes, this is the set time, you are now in union with my favour – for you have embraced my promises”

“I AM Now Causing You To Possess The Increase”

The enemy is reviewing many people’s lives, bringing back what should have killed them to which the Lord helped overcome, he is bringing back these temptations but in a different form. How you overcame in the past is how you will still overcome, for the Lord is now delivering. Unsurmountable joy is released to take us through.

Yes, Gleanings from the book of Galatians. Yesterday we saw that the covenant was given to Abraham and to his seed which is Christ. The covenant was ratified by God in Christ and we or the law cannot add or take anything off the covenant.

Then the Apostle reaffirms the nature of the main clause of the covenant to which the Lord said to Abraham, in thee shall all nations blessed;

Galatians 3:18
For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

When God said Abraham was to inherit the earth, in him all nations were to be blessed, the law had not come to being at the moment. God gave the covenant to Abraham as a promise with no conditions.

God made an unconditional promise to Abraham, hence the above verse contrasts between promise and the law.

It says above “For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise”

The promises made to Abraham and the law are antagonistic. The inheritance was not to be given by the law but by promise.

I tell you the truth, the Bible is not biology or geography that you can just read and understand. Sometimes when I look at what the word of God is actually saying and what I hear on pulpits today, I marvel. Oh the wisdom of God.

Man has totally been made foolish in the presence of the wisdom of God. The riches of Christ have been hid from the world.

Today you heard things like, God has already done his job, he has already given us his promises, if you do this, do that, keep this, keep that then God will bless you.

The inheritance comes by promise and not by law keeping. The inheritance and the law are antagonistic. Strange but this is God saying it. This is scripture.

Someone may say, Pastor then what about the law? Why was the law given in the first place?

You want to know the service of the law? Look at this dearly beloved of the Lord;

Galatians 3:19
Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

Observe carefully this answer given as a reason for the introduction of the law “It was added because of transgressions”

First it says it was “added” indicating it was never God’s main agenda. Then we hear the reason “because of transgression”

Before the law, man thought he was righteous, God was blessing the seed of Abraham according to his covenant given to Abraham by promise but the seed of Abraham never understood this. They thought they could deserve God’s blessings by their actions.

The heart of man was lifted up within him in pride. We hear this before the law was given: when God was about giving the law; instead of crying out for mercy and grace as moses would always do before God, the children of Israel actually said:

“All that the LORD hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the LORD.” Exodus 19:8

This was the reason the Lord decided to descend and reveal to man how sinful he actually is.

The LORD added the law for transgression, that man may know his true state and run to God for grace. It was to show them their sin, to humble them so they would run to the cross when the son would arrive.

It was not given to cure sin, but rather to increase sin;

Romans 5:20
“Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound”

God wanted man to see himself as who he truly is, wretched and in need of a saviour.

God wanted to reveal the disease called sin in man that his pride be quenched so he would look to the cross;

Romans 3:20
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.

By the law is the knowledge of sin, not the knowledge of God. Before the law men knew know, Enoch lived and walked with God until he was no more. Their conscience was moved upon by the Holy Spirit.

Today a lot of people think we know God by the law, never, we know sin by the law not God. And this was the reason for which the law was given.

The inheritance comes by promise and not by the law. Look to Jesus, his grace is making available all promises to us.

In an encounter with the Lord I saw increased spiritual activities in the lives of many. I kept on seeing scenes of different kinds of healings on another level happening in and through many in the body of Christ. And I felt the Lord say “It is a season of increase”

Zechariah 8:12
For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things.

Then the Lord said “It is a season of increase. I am prospering every seed you sow. The works of your hands shall be fruitful.

I have blessed your ground for increase. The windows of heaven are opened over you this season. Sow that I may prosper your seed, the ground is ready for increase. I am now causing you to possess the increase.”

I See Myself In You

The fire is really hot, a lot of things are strangely happening, but God is only purifying many for something greater. Do not panic, you will come out stronger and refined for durability.

Yes, Gleanings from The Book of Galatians. We saw in our last discussion that we have been delivered from the curse of the law, and now we already have the blessing, The promised Holy Spirit. We cannot be cursed for he became a curse for us that we might receive the blessing of Abraham. We are today irreversibly blessed in Christ.

This is why the apostle says in the next verse;

Galatians 3:15
Brethren, I speak after the manner of men; Though it be but a man’s covenant, yet if it be confirmed, no man disannulleth, or addeth thereto.

Paul now gives an analogy, that if a covenant is confirmed even in human affairs, no one can add to the covenant or cancel it. Hence the covenant of blessing was made to Abraham to be confirmed in Christ.

This covenant was a covenant of blessing. God said to him, I will bless you and in you shall all the nations of the earth be blessed. This is the main clause of the covenant.

You and I were not mentioned as covenant parties. No conditions were given to you and I and even to Abraham. In fact, we were not in anyway mentioned in connection to the constitution of the covenant;

Galatians 3:16
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Observe carefully the language of Paul, God did not make a promise to you and I. God made promises to Abraham and his Seed which is Christ.

You are not a covenant child of God, you are a beneficiary of the covenant as a child of God.

Trying to make God bless you is foolishness. God is not committed to you, God is only obligated to Christ. God will never bless you, God blesses Christ in you. No promise was made to you, all promises were made to Christ.

When you are in Christ, the blessings are Yea and Amen. Not in you; that is in your flesh. God told Abraham IN YOU, that is, in Christ shall all nations of the earth be blessed.

Your name is not in the article of the covenant, my name is not their either. The name of Jesus is the only one qualified to invoke the blessings of the covenant.

This is why we must always look to him. He has ratified the covenant, I am not against good works, I am for good works from the the right source. The covenant is already ratified and no amount of good works can add to it, and nothing can cancel the power of the covenant, no, not even the law.

Galatians 3:17
And this I say, that the covenant, that was confirmed before of God in Christ, the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.

Now observe the language, the covenant “was confirmed before of God in Christ”

In the economy of God, the lamb of God was slain from the foundation of the world. The covenant of grace was confirmed even before the law was added.

“the law, which was four hundred and thirty years after, cannot disannul, that it should make the promise of none effect.”

Now the law cannot add to the covenant nor can it nullify the covenant. The law has no place in the covenant, which is what the above verse says.

If the covenant was confirmed even before the law was given, then no one can add or nullify that the promise be not effectuated or manifested.

All glory to God. You and I and the law cannot stop the promises from having its effect as long as we are found in Christ, in him we are forever blessed.

The law came too late, today it has no part of the covenant.

We have to sincerely keep thanking God for the privilege we have, in Christ admitting us into the blessings.

We are only beneficiaries of the covenant and not covenant parties. No obligation is on us, all on Christ. God has made no promise to us but Christ.

To Christ I will always look, I will seek his favour and mercy that I may benefit from his blessings.

In an encounter with the Lord, I heard as I was waking up “I see Myself in You”

1 John 4:17
Herein is our love made perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment: because as he is, so are we in this world.

The Lord said “I see myself in you. You are even as I AM. Spotless, harmless, undefiled, righteous, holy and perfect by my blood.

All things are yours even as all things are mine. Do not look to the lies, do not look away. Look to me and be glad, you will never be defeated even as I can never be defeated.

You are strong, loved Much by my father even as I am loved by him. You are daily his delight even as I am daily his delight.

You will never be left alone, for He is always with you even as He is always with me.

My Child, you are dearly loved as I see myself in you”
