Wear My Joy My Child
At this moment there is no need trying to observe whether the circumstances you are seeing have become the way they are because of some fault from you. No, never, bad things happen to good people.
God has never blessed anyone because he was doing all things right, God justifies the ungodly and this is called the power of his grace.
Yes, Gleanings from the Book of Galatians. Yesterday we rounded up on the third chapter, looking at our oneness in Christ as heirs of the same covenant through faith in Christ.
Now the the fourth Chapter opens up something wonderful again. It says;
Galatians 4:1
Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;
The apostle gives a very good analogy here, as long as the heir is a child, there is no distinction between him and the servant. He does not have the capacity to govern even though he owns everything by reason of heirship.
Galatians 4:2
But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.
Observe carefully the last statement, “until the time appointed by the father”
He is kept under tutors and governors until the father sees him fit or matured enough to possess his inheritance.
He is kept under this position by the wisdom of the father, where the father also decides when the time is right for transitioning.
Galatians 4:3
Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:
Now here is the revelation, before the time appointed for Jesus to arrive on the scene fully came, God kept the Jewish nation under the law. But observe what Paul says was their condition;
“were in bondage under the elements of the world”
The elements of this world here speaks of the law and the curses that came with it to which when they were under, they subjected them to a life of bondage.
They couldn’t demonstrate authority over the powers of the age because they were rendered unqualified, babies under the system they were under. But something happened;
Galatians 4:4
But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,
When the fullness of the time came, God sent forth his son. Made of two things mentioned above;
First, he was made of a woman.
This is a very strong language but it is a direct fulfilment of prophecy in the third chapter of Genesis. Jesus was made of a woman, not made of a man. He is a seed of a woman and not in reality the seed of a man. He was never conceived through the normal natural means. The spotless seed of God was – made of a woman.
This seed of the woman was the one destined to crush the head of the serpent;
Genesis 3:15
And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.
The serpent has bruised the heel of the son but he has now crushed the head of that old serpent. Triumphing over it by the cross to give us victory over the powers of darkness.
Secondly, he was made under the law.
A lot of people find it very difficult comprehending the teachings of Jesus and the teachings of grace as spare headed by Paul. In the hearts of some, even as I have heard them say, it is as though Paul contradicts the teachings of Jesus.
But this is false, Jesus was under a different economy. Jesus was under the law during his life time. He was made under it, until his death there was no new testament.
The new testament actually did not begin where we see it written in our Bibles “New Testament” No, never. The New Testament began when Jesus died and rose for our justification.
Luke 22:20
Likewise also the cup after supper, saying, This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.
Observe carefully this statement above “This cup is the new testament in my blood, which is shed for you.”
They are two key things here,
First, the new testament is IN the blood not outside the blood. The blood of Jesus was not shed in Mathew Chapter one….
Secondly, The new testament began after the shading of the blood of Jesus. We were born out of his death not before his death. “Which is shed for you”
Hence, since Jesus was made under the law, some of his teachings were to deal with the condition of those who were under the law.
Remember the ministry of the law was to offer condemnation and death, hence Jesus magnified the law and made it honourable by exalting its standards to destroy the pride of the religious people of his day.
This is why it is as though the apostle Paul contradicts some of the teachings of Jesus.
But if you can see by the Spirit of revelation, there is actually no contradiction. You observe the audience, the context and so on…..
I have gone into details on this in my forth coming book The Truth About The Gospel when it comes out, get a copy of it to be well established in these present truths.
You can keep a watch on our website for when this priceless resource will be out.
See you tomorrow….
In an encounter with the Lord, I saw someone who was determined to be joyful in the Lord despite her circumstances. It was tough but I saw this person instead of going for her petitions she was desiring that the Lord rather establish her heart in the joy of the Lord.
I Felt the Love of the father for her heart’s desire and I felt the Lord beckoning on her to keep up the desire…
Nehemiah 8:10
Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.
Then the Lord said “I understand your greatest heart desire, it is not to see your needs met but it is to fulfil my purpose upon you with Joy. My dear one, go your way, eat and make merry.
Celebrate your victory, reach out to as many as you can demonstrating my love. For I have heard you. I have separated your days unto myself and made them holy unto your God.
Do not worry about anything nor give into what you seemingly call shame. I AM now on the scene for restoration. Wear my Joy my Child, for therein lies your strength.”
