You Will Now See The Greatness of Your God

Yes, Gleanings from the book of Galatians
In our last discussion, it was revealed to us how the only ground of justification is through the righteousness of faith, to which even all the apostles hoped in and looked to receiving the full dividends of their salvation at the return of Jesus.

He now goes on to give us the reason they all hoped in the righteousness God which comes by Christ Jesus;

Galatians 5:6
For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love.

In the kingdom of Christ, in the religion which Christ came to establish; neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any evidence in matters of salvation. In the gospel dispensation it is totally abolished.

It had significance before the coming of Christ, but now it is fulfilled, abolished, taken out of the way and no longer a sacrament.

The Jew no longer has a special standing before God, neither does the gentile; all are accepted by faith in Christ Jesus with neither personality nor works attached.

Then we hear “but faith which worketh by love”

The word used above for worketh is from the Greek word energeo, from where we get the English word energy, and it means to be active, to be efficient (Strong’s Concordance 1754).

True faith is active, true faith is efficient, true faith is operative. It is not a mere intellectual belief but it is rooted deep in the heart, controlling its affections.

True faith comes with its works called; works of love or the labour of love.

True faith works by love not and not by works of The Law. True faith is energized by love to God and benevolence to man.

True faith has energy it. It is not a mere profession but is carries the energy of God in it. Genuine faith operates out of love to God and kindness and affection to man.

True faith works not by desire for self glory but a desire for God to be exalted, esteeming others better than itself.

True faith has Christ as its author and finisher.

This is why the apostles were not afraid to preach the gospel of grace. Because the love of God activates faith and not the other way round. Faith works by love, where there is no love faith cannot be operative.

So, how do I put the faith of the believer to action?

Feed the Christian with the love of the father, and the faith resident in him will rise to the roof, with love to God expressing itself in affection to the brethren and to mankind generally.

True believers have the God kind of faith on their inside, which has love to God and love to man.

The grace of God rather helps to bring out the beauties in the Christian.

There is faith on your inside, you have the faith of your father on your inside with His love as the pledge.

So, keep loving and trusting God, and keeping loving others, for your faith works by love, and remember, love never fails!

See you tomorrow…..

In an encounter with the Lord, I heard him say; “Look not to your weaknesses nor to the necessities hanging on your neck. Look away from the reproaches and the persecutions coming upon you . Those distresses you are facing for my name’s sake. All these you are experiencing because you have dared to step out in my will.

But my dear one, I AM your strength, in this time you feel frail, my strength will be seen greater in you, for my power is made perfect in weakness. This is the time you are stronger in me.

So rejoice, you are in a place to see my surpassing power manifest upon you like you have never seen. You will now see the greatness of your God manifesting unprecedentedly all around you my dear Child.”

2 Corinthians 12:9-10
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
