Now is Your Time of Comforting

Yes, Gleanings from the Book of Galatians. We saw from our discussion yesterday that the grace of Christ produced an exceeding excitement in the hearts of the Galatia Churches, we saw how they were at first willing to do anything for the gospel, but the introduction of the law was now turning their hearts cold.

We hear the apostle continue;

Galatians 4:16
Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?

This is how it is with all those that preach the truth; the gospel of the grace of Christ.

When you are wholly committed to the preaching of God’s grace, instead of being accepted by all, because your whole duty is to push people to Christ, you are rather hated and despised by many. You become an enemy of many.

Why? Because you just keep stepping on trophies. A lot of people have built upon the foundation of Christ, wood, hay, stubble and when you are led by the Spirit to breakdown these fences, instead of humility, they tend to hate you rather. You immediately fall into the camp of their enemies. It is as though you are coming from nowhere to condemn all they have laboured for all their lives.

My father actually said this to me, He was from one of the orthodox churches in Nigeria, which today are a people who do not joke with the preaching of the law.

But I kept on pointing him to Jesus, preaching the grace of God to him until one day he said, I feel condemned with what we stand for any time I hear you preach. Thank God we never became enemies. He respected my call and accepted my manner of delivery. And the later years of his life were the most exciting of all his years.

Standing for the truth is not actually what people think, If anyone was hated among the apostles by religious people, it was Paul, but if any one was actually successful there was none like him. Why? The truth never dies, it lives forever.

Then the apostle says;

Galatians 4:17
They zealously affect you, but not well; yea, they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.

Observe carefully the above statement “They zealously affect you”

Who are they? False brethren, teachers of the Law. The entire ministry of Paul was a war against these kinds of people. It was a fight against anything outside of Christ.

The whole ministry of Paul was to dispute the doctrines of the Law and to persuade men to look to Jesus;

Acts 19:8
And he went into the synagogue, and spake boldly for the space of three months, disputing and persuading the things concerning the kingdom of God

And again we hear;

Acts 28:23
And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Jesus, both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.

Because once you win a heart to Jesus, you have given that heart all and has set it on fire forever.

This is my call, this my ministry, this is my passion; to persuade men daily to turn to the grace of Christ.

So, the apostle says, they zealously affect you, but not well.

Many people confuse zeal for knowledge. People can be zealous for the wrong thing for decades. There is such a thing as zeal without knowledge. We go for knowledge and not just zeal.

The law preachers, the apostle says, zealously had a target, and what is their target?

“they would exclude you, that ye might affect them.”

They disqualify you through the law, that you may look to them. The exclude you from your rights are a righteous and holy child of God by the blood of Jesus.

They make you think they have attained righteousness by law keeping, and when you have a heart for God, and try to purely keep the law and you can’t, you start looking to them as the qualified, for mediation. They become your mediator before God. You do whatsoever you are told to do, so they can get to God for you.

Look to Jesus, the all sufficient one and find grace and mercy in this great time of need.

Another day in the love of Christ with you tomorrow…..

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw someone that had lost something as she was just waiting on God.

She was determined not to use natural means to fix things, but she wanted the sovereign hand of God to move on her behalf. Yes it worked.

I saw the Lord move swiftly on her behalf and things that were on hold were been released supernaturally.

Jeremiah 30:17
For I will restore health unto thee, and I will heal thee of thy wounds, saith the LORD; because they called thee an Outcast, saying, This is Zion, whom no man seeketh after.

2 Kings 8:6
And when the king asked the woman, she told him. So the king appointed unto her a certain officer, saying, Restore all that was hers, and all the fruits of the field since the day that she left the land, even until now.

Then the Lord said “It is my will for you to prosper and be in health even as your soul is prospering. You have waited upon me, now is your time of comforting. I AM restoring health to you. Vitality in your spirit, soul, and body.

I AM healing your hurts. You have felt like an outcast but you have never been alone my child. I AM always with you even in the fires. My love cannot let you alone.

Listen not to the voices that say, ‘you will never be sought after’ for I am restoring the all to you.

All you have lost even until now, and all you have never had, I bring to you in a moment. Not one word will fall to the ground that I have spoken concerning you.

Blessings in Christ,
