Do Not Put Away Your Confidence

Breakthroughs on an explosive proportion are upon us at this hour. Miracles are happening unprecedentedly. Am amazed at what the Lord is doing in his church at this time. The power of God is taking over and bringing in the revival.

Yes, we will continue on our subject of spiritual warfare. We have observed a little on our position in Christ and the position of the enemy to us now that we are more than conquerors in Christ.

Today we will visit our Amory and look at our amour carefully through the word of God. Now we are told in the sixth chapter Ephesians;

Ephesians 6:13
Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Yes we are admonished to take whole of God. Many do not see this, it does not say, take unto you your whole armour. No! It is not your armour but the amour of God. What God wears upon himself for battle is what we are made to put on.

If we take unto ourselves any amour which is not God’s amour, we are so defeated. We are not to bring our amour to fight spiritual battles but we are to take the amour which is outside of us. The armour of God. We are to take God’s amour as our own.

Yes this is the question we should ask, how did God fight the enemy to give us victory?

The entirety of God’s armour for the defeat of Satan was Jesus Christ. Jesus is the armour of God. If we wear upon ourselves anything outside of Christ we are doomed to fail. This is why we are told Christ is our all. He is not our some but he is our sum of all spiritual things;

Colossians 3:11
Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

Now these following verses of the sixth chapter of Ephesians open up this amour;

Ephesians 6:14
Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;

Now we have said above that the armour of God is Jesus. Christ the power and wisdom of God (1Corinthians 1:24). Hence, lets look at the armour one after the order through the eyes of God,

The First, having your loins girt about with “Truth”
Which truth? We all know there is no other truth but He who is the truth. Truth is a person and that person is Jesus. The first armour we put on is Jesus the truth. You and I are not the truth. If we look to ourselves for truth, we are putting on ourselves as the armour. Our truth is Jesus. As long as he is the truth, he is tour truth.

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Second armour mentioned above is the breastplate of “Righteousness”
Which righteousness? Mine or whose? Righteousness is a person not a doing. Jesus is our righteousness.

Jeremiah 23:6
In his days Judah shall be saved, and Israel shall dwell safely: and this is his name whereby he shall be called, THE LORD OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

All our righteousness are as a filthy rag before the Lord (Isaiah 64:6). This why God has given us an eternal righteousness which is the person of Jesus. He is made our righteousness.
He is the one we put on and not our works to earn righteousness. If we dare, we fail. We have left the armour of our God to our own armour. You are not what God used to defeat Satan. Look at this verse;

1 Corinthians 1:30
But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

Now let’s continue looking at the armour;

Ephesians 6:15
And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;

The Third armour mentioned above is “Gospel of Peace “
Which peace? Peace is not just a feeling. Peace is a person, peace is Christ.

Ephesians 2:14
For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

The gospel of peace is the good news about what Jesus has done for a bankrupt sinner as I am. Now we have peace with God. God is no longer angry with us because of what Jesus has done for us.

This is why it is called the gospel of peace. And it is truly the gospel of peace. In him I have found my rest. This is must be nothing else but the gospel of Christ;

Romans 1:16
For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Let’s move on;

Ephesians 6:16
Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.

The Fourth armour mentioned is “Faith “
It may be strange for many but faith is a person. Faith is a spirit. Faith is the spirit of Christ;

2 Corinthians 4:13
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

This is why we are told that he is the author and finisher of our faith. It begins with him and ends with him.

Hebrews 12:2
“Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith”

And also this is why not all men have faith because not all men have Christ.

2 Thessalonians 3:2
“for all men have not faith.”

Now let’s move on and round it up;

Ephesians 6:17
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The Fifth armour mentioned is the Helmet of “Salvation”

This doesn’t have to take long. Jesus is salvation.

Psalms 27:1
The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid

And finally the Sixth armour is explained by the scripture;

Ephesian 6:17 “and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God”

We all know who the word of God is;
John 1:1
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Truly Christ is all and the sufficient armour. Just by putting on Christ you can see that the enemy is already defeated for he also believes and trembles before God. When we put on Christ we are sufficient for all battles in every season.

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw a child of God who was on a journey with the Lord, things kept looking darker and darker and this child of God felt he should withdraw on the pursuit of the things God laid before him. But I saw the Lord’s displeasure towards this attempt and I felt the Lord cautioning him.

I was led by the Spirit;

Hebrews 10:35-39
Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise. For yet a little while, and he that shall come will come, and will not tarry. Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; but of them that believe to the saving of the soul.

Then the Lord, “Do not put away your confidence, I have reserved a great reward for you confidence in my word.

Let patience have its way as you are perfected to receive the promise. Your manifestation comes and will not tarry.

You are just, walk by faith and not by sight, do not draw back for if you do, my soul will have no pleasure in you.

But I know you, you are not of them that draw back but of them that believe unto salvation.

I AM Doing Great Things for You

 A lot of people have broken through. There is a tremendous amount of God’s power in and through us to which many are experience right now.

Yes, there is such a thing as spiritual warfare. Yesterday we saw some beautiful truths about our total forgiveness in the thirteenth verse of the second chapter of the book of Colossians. 

Now there is something powerful in the fourteenth verse of the same chapter. We are told;

Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; Colossians 2:14

Wow, that you may see this. It says Jesus blotted out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us. What is that handwriting that you think is speaking against you? What is that law that you are told is speaking against you?  All the curses of our disobedience to God’s law which were to be the root of all curses, all sicknesses, and all evil on us were blotted out by our lord Jesus.

Hear what the next part says which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; every thing contrary to us Jesus took it out of the way and nailed to the cross of Calvary. If there is something like a curse in the way of your blessings then it is from your mind and not from God. He took every ordinance that was supposed to be against us out of the way and nailed it to the cross and declared that the battle is won. It is finished!

Now see what the next verse says;

And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross. Colossians 2:15 NIV

Oh he is not going to disarm the powers and authorities but he has already disarmed the devil. It all depends on where you are standing and looking at things. The above scripture renders Satan and his cohorts just as toothless dogs.

 Look at it in the amplified version;

[God] disarmed the principalities and powers that were ranged against us and made a bold display and public example of them, in triumphing over them in Him and in it [the cross]. Colossians 2:15 AMP.

Every power that was ranged against us is already disarmed. They are not killed but disarmed. Just like in the movies, if the one with the gun is disarmed and the other has a gun, we all know that the one with the gun has the victory already.

They can talk you out of shooting and make you drop your gun to wallow in their shame and defeat. They can talk but can’t do. They can only make you do. How? As a man thinks in his heart, so is he. 

They make you think you are cursed, rejected, worthless, you will never be healed, never be prosperous, your marriage has already fallen, your ministry will not rise, you will end up in shame, your loved ones won’t be saved. As you take these thoughts as your own, you empower principalities and powers.  All these are some of the lies. This is why the enemy is called a liar.

Then the eighteenth and nineteenth verse says;

Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize, insisting on self-abasement and worship of angels, taking his stand on visions [he claims] he has seen, vainly puffed up by his sensuous notions and inflated by his unspiritual thoughts and fleshly conceit,  And not holding fast to the Head, from Whom the entire body, supplied and knit together by means of its joints and ligaments, grows with a growth that is from God. Colossians 2:19-19 AMP.

Observe carefully this first part of the verse Let no one defraud you by acting as an umpire and declaring you unworthy and disqualifying you for the prize

We are not disqualified, we are armed and the devil is just a noise maker when you believe these verses.  Now if the devil is disarmed and we are armed, then we need to understand our armory which is what we will look at tomorrow…

In an encounter with the LORD; I saw a Christian who was in a very tight corner. She was in the will of God, running on with vision.

I saw her in a situation where they needed to advance with the work but she was lacking the provision for the advancement. 

Then I saw the Lord come and say unto her “I am doing something”

I was led by the Spirit to;

Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things. Joel 2:21

Then the LORD said “Do not be afraid, be glad and rejoice for I am doing great things for you”

I have given my angels charge over

The revelation of the LORD is rising.  There is increased angelic activity with downloads of strategies for those rising.

There is such a thing as spiritual warfare. From our previous discussion the Holy Ghost has led me to begin something new along these lines.

A lot of light have been shed along these lines by many in the body of Christ which has helped me and many others. As knowledge is increasing in these end times, there are a lot of things the Lord has been revealing concerning this subject.

If there is a subject that has been much abused in the body of Christ, it is the subject of spiritual warfare. A lot of things we hear today about spiritual warfare are rather exalting the devil and diminishing the power of God through the finished work of Christ. 

I tell you the truth, if you know who you are in Christ, the devil is not as many make him to be. You will understand that he is like a toothless dog even though he still has a voice to bark.

We will be killing some sacred cows one after the other as we progress through the word of God. Before, we go into talking about how to war, let us look at our enemy through the eyes of the cross. Let us understand some things about us in Christ and our enemy.

Now, when we receive Jesus, we receive the fullness of all that God has, all of the father, son and Holy Spirit comes to dwell on our inside. Boy! this is incredible.

For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Colossians 2:9 – 10

It says above we are complete in Christ. Chanting this is different from actually believing it. We lack nothing in Christ. The fullness of the Godhead dwells even in us bodily.

But it does not stop there, it goes on to say “which is the head of all principality and power”  oh that you may see this. It does not say he is the head of holy principality and power but all principality and power are under his control. 

The devil is under the control of Jesus with his entire host. You may not accept it but the word of God is true despite your own belief. The devil cannot move an inch without the quickening power of God. He is totally subject to the supplies of God for his power and every activity;

I give thee charge in the sight of God, who quickeneth all things, and before Christ Jesus, who before Pontius Pilate witnessed a good confession; 1Timothy 6:13

Observe the statement who quickeneth all things, it does not say he gives life or quickened good things. No, All things! He animates, vitalizes, and gives motion, energy and power to all things. This is why Christ is the head of all principality and power. Whatsoever he says concerning the enemy you ought to believe for he knows him better than all of us.

Now lets move on a little bit, in the thirteen verse of the second chapter of Colossians which we have being observing above, it says;

And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; Colossians 2:13

Please observe carefully the last part of the verse “having forgiven you all trespasses” It is a shame, but a lot of us do not even know that we are forgiven all trespasses.  Many of us do not even know what it means to be a Christian. We say we are forgiven but we do not understand that we are actually forgiven all sins. Why do I say this?

There is something that is prevalent in the body of Christ today called generational curses. Supposed believers keep running around to be prayed for that the sins of there fathers are pursuing them. That their parents were into idolatry and all sorts of things so because of their sins judgment or evil have been pursing them.

Please o’ Christian, what is forgiveness of sins? When you accepted Jesus you were washed from all sins. Right from the sin of Adam to your very sins, you have been forgiven all trespasses, if you are not, then you are not born again. This is very simple it has become unbelievable for many. Nothing is pursing you because of the sins of your fathers or your past sins. It is just an imagination the devil has created in your mind which you have accepted. It is not scriptural, you are forgiven all sins.

I pray for a lot of Christians and they often fall under the power of God, I can name it anything. I can name it generational curses from the sins of their forefather been broken. If you are under a curse, receive Jesus and be forgiven of all sins. He took all our curses by becoming a curse on the tree. Receive him and receive freedom.

Then the next verse opens up something beautiful we will look at tomorrow…..

In an encounter with the LORD, I saw a Christian and I saw him open the door of his house to welcome angels…

I was lead to;

Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Psalms 102:20

And again..

For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet.Psalms 91:11

Then the LORD said; “It is an hour to do my word spoken over you. I have given my angels charge over you to fulfill the word spoken upon you.

They will keep you in all your ways lest you fall prey to the enemy. They will bear you in their hands. You shall tread upon the dragon, that old serpent and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Faithful is He that Called You

We are rising, the glory of God is piercing the darkness. Truly it looks dark but if you can see through the word there is cloud of abundance appearing upon us.

There is something as imagination, a very powerful weapon for the manifestation of God’s glory. But many have not understood this weapon. The enemy is wise, as many as have not understood this weapon called imagination, the enemy is fast using it to defeat a lot of us.

Imagination is exactly as reality when it comes to spiritual matters. We are told in this scripture;

Proverbs 23:7
“For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he”

Your thought is your reality. Whatsoever you decide to imagie will eventually turn out to be your reality. Imagination carries the idea of you painting a picture. It could be what you want to do or how you see yourself.

Now this is why we are told to always behold Jesus as we take his image we eventually become like him.

2 Corinthians 3:18
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.

This is very crucial hence, God went ahead and gave us a picture of our reality to fill our imaginations with. We are told clearly in scripture our reality is Jesus. As he is, so are we in this world.

1 John 4:17
“because as he is, so are we in this world”

I am playing with this scriptures often that it may get into someone as it has gotten into me. His condition in heaven is my condition on the earth. If I can imagine this, then I will eventually become it here on the earth, for I am already as he is.

Now let me show you something about the power of imagination. When God created man, we had only one language. The entire human race spoke only one language. But this did not bother God much since we were in unity. But a day came when imagination came in. God had blessed man and said, be fruitful, multiply and fill the earth, but at this time man said no, we will remain together, build a tower called babel that will reach to heaven.

Now hear God’s response to this imagination;

Genesis 11:6
And the LORD said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.

Oh that you may see what is written above, it says behold the people is one…are you one with Christ? Then it says they have all one language. Are you saying the same thing God is saying about you despite what you see?

But here is my emphasis, observe carefully the last statement “and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” This is God declaring the power of imagination. Even though this thing they had imagined was evil, God said because they have imagined it, nothing can stop them from achieving it, for as he thinks in his heart, so is he.

See, this is the reason the enemy has rushed to lay hold on this power called imagination. He knows whatsoever you imagine that you are outside of Christ, you will also become, hence, he is daily fighting to bring unto us imaginations. Now see this,

2 Corinthians 10:4
(For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)

We have mighty weapons through God for our warfare for the pulling down of strong holds. But what are these strong holds?

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; 2Corinthians 10:5

The first strong hold mentioned is imaginations. If we imagine anything outside of what the word says we are, a stronghold has been erected.

Whatsoever is against our knowledge of who we are in Christ, whatsoever is against our knowledge of God, we are to cast it down to the obedience of Christ. By the obedience of one man we have been justified, made righteous and qualified for every blessing.

Romans 5:18-19
Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

I will daily imagine myself in the health of Jesus, in the prosperity of Jesus, in the Joy of Jesus, in the glory of Jesus, for as he is, so are we in this world. I will always engage the power of my imagination for a victorious life.

In an encounter with the Lord I heard “faithful is he that called you”

1 Thessalonians 5:24
Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.

Then the Lord said, ” I AM faithful that has called you, all I have spoken concerning you, I will also do”

Prepare for Abundance

God is exceeding expectations, fulfilling destinies this hour. There is a way made in the dark to which many who are led by the Spirit are following as an escape route. Things are so excited in the Spirit right now.

There is such a thing as fasting which is a pivotal exercise in Christendom but often misunderstood and used inappropriately. A lot of people fast to get God to move on their behalf. Some fast to make God do something. 

Some fast that they may earn something from God. Thinking, o’ that God may look upon the humbling of my flesh and do this or that for me. Some fast that God may give them miraculous power.

 But what does fasting really stand for in the New Testament? 

Now remember that God through the death, burial and resurrection of Christ has blessed us with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus. 

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: Ephesians 1:3

We don’t need to fast to beg God to give us something as though he is withholding something from us. God loves us unconditionally and has blessed us with all spiritual blessings by the finished work of Christ. 

Jesus did all the work and declared “it is finished.” We don’t have to fast to earn God’s favour. God’s favour is already upon us in Christ.

There are teachings that Jesus told his disciples fasting was needed to cast out a particular demon. There was a time in scripture when a boy possessed of a demon was brought to the apostles for them to cast out the demon. 

They could not cast out this demon and the matter was pushed to Jesus who did. Now when they were alone, his disciples demanded to know why they could not cast out the demon;

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? Mathew 17: 19

Now look at the reason Jesus gave for them not being able to cast out the demon;

And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Mathew 17: 20

Observe carefully the answer “Because of your unbelief”. Jesus did not say because of fasting ad prayer. No, he said the reason you could not cast out the demon is because of your unbelief. Now Jesus wants to give them the solution to their unbelief which was what was hindering them for moving in faith. Observe this next verse carefully;

Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting. Mathew 17: 20

He does not say this kind of demon goes not out but by prayer and fasting as many include the “demon” today. If the finished work of Jesus, the name of Jesus, if the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus cannot cast out a demon, then no amount of fasting can. The subject under discussion was unbelief. Jesus said the reason you could not cast out the demon was because of your unbelief. So, now Jesus goes on to give them the cure to their unbelief which is fasting and prayer.

Why fasting and prayer? And how does fasting and prayer cure unbelief?

Remember man is spirit, soul and body. The spirit is born again but the soul and body are not. They are only receiving life from the spirit. The soul is the place of the Mind, Will and Emotions. This mind is totally carnal and an enemy of God,

For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. Romans 8:6-7

How do you deal with the carnal mind that the spiritual mind may resonate? You do that through fasting and prayer. Fasting and prayer humbles the soul that the life from the spirit may manifest;

But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom. Psalm 35:13

Yes, fasting deals with the soul. It weakens the flesh and the soul and helps us hear God’s voice better. The mind of the spirit resonates when we chasten the soul through fasting and prayer;

When I wept, and chastened my soul with fasting, that was to my reproach. Psalm 69:10

Those seeking to know God better ought to always fast. This is the route to be established in the revelation of scripture. Paul was always in fasting and you can tell by the abundance of revelations he had. He was always putting on the spiritual mind through fasting. 

Whatsoever the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus have not given to me I do not want it. If his blood has not satisfied any blessing, then keep it. If I am to fast to earn power, may you keep the power. I do not wish to deserve anything. I go after the heart of the Lord who has said “I desire mercy not sacrifice” (Mathew 9:13).

Do I fast? Boy! I may scare you, not long I fasted for a whole year, from March 2019 to April 2020. 

Was I fasting to cast out a demon? No! 

Was I fasting to earn God’s power and blessings? No! 

Then why was I fasting?

 I was fasting to be established in the truths the Lord has being revealing to me. I needed a deeper understanding, for only by understanding is a house established (Proverbs 24:-3-4). I needed to discern the voice of God better.

Get liberated. Fast for the right reasons, for God’s favour, his unconditional love, the unfathomable riches of his grace are already upon us and sufficient for us.

In an encounter with the LORD, I heard “Abundance of rain”

I was led to;

And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a sound of abundance of rain…

….And it came to pass at the seventh time, that he said, Behold, there ariseth a little cloud out of the sea, like a man’s hand. And he said, Go up, say unto Ahab, Prepare thy chariot, and get thee down that the rain stop thee not. 1Kings 18:41, 44

Then the LORD said “Prepare for abundance! The little clouds, the little victories you now see are a sound of the abundance of rain upon you”

This is the moment of exponential growth

It is the moment of Glory. Fear is not stopping many hearts as they are moving forward by faith in the word of God despite the steaming fears. God is fulfilling long awaited promises in this hour upon many lives.

Yes, we are still on our subject of speaking in tongues. This manner of communicating with God is rather unattractive to many that are wise after the flesh but it is a great help to the humble and feeble of heart, as the Spirit exceeds our expectations when we lean on him in prayer through speaking in tongues.

Many say on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit fell upon the Apostles, they spoke with tongues and people that were there heard them speaking in their own earthly languages, therefore one must hear what you say when you speak in tongues.

But what does the scripture say about this notion?

There are two kinds of tongues, speaking in tongues as a prayer language to God and speaking in diverse kinds of tongues as gift. We also have something else as the gift of interpretation of tongues.

Speaking in tongues as a spiritual prayer language is a heavenly tongue we use to communicate with God directly to which no man understands except the Spirit.

For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him; howbeit in the spirit he speaketh mysteries. 1Corinthians 14:2

This is a direct communication with God and not to men. Observe carefully the above statement, it is said “For he that speaketh in an unknown tongue speaketh not unto men, but unto God: for no man understandeth him” 

This is not intended for man to understand for he speaks not to man but unto God. This is tongues as a spiritual prayer language used to communicate to God.

As great as Apostle Paul was, he confessed that he understood not his tongues as a prayer language.

For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful. 1Corinthian 14:14

Hence, the notion that all tongues must be understood and interpreted is false. We are not greater than the Apostles to which this mystery began with. As faithful followers, we go with the foundation of the Apostles and ignore modern day theology.

Then we have diverse kinds of tongues which is a gift.

To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:  1Corinthians 12:10

I have heard of the evangelists of old on how. Before they would travel to a nation for their evangelical work, many would cry out to God for this gift.

Speaking in diverse kinds of tongues is what happened on the day of Pentecost.

This is not a prayer language but it is speaking with earthly tongues by the power of the Spirit as a sign to unbelievers. It is used when mastering to people.

I have heard that before these evangelists of old would go out to their mission fields, they would cry out to God for this gift, after receiving the gift, they would travel to the places they were called to by the Holy Spirit. As they would enter these places, they by the power of the Spirit would begin communicating with the people in their own earthly tongues without prior studies or knowledge of these tongues.

“Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not” 1Corinthians 14:22

 This is a wonderful sign. It is a great gift even as it was on the day of Pentecost where 3000 people saw this and accepted the Lord.

Oh how I covet this gift, an efficient gift for the revival upon us.

Then we have the gift of interpretation of tongues, not everyone has it, so not everyone is expected to interpret tongues. It is a gift. This gift is needed when tongues are to be used as prophecy or teaching in a church service.

 If you desire to minister to the congregation in tongues, then there must be an interpreter but if there is no interpreter, you ought to be quiet and use tongues in a church service as a prayer language to your God and not to the congregation.

But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God. 1Corithians 14:28

Observe carefully the last statement “let him speak to himself, and to God” There is this demonic doctrine that says Paul said “if there is no interpreter, tongues should not be spoken in the Church.” No! It is a command that we speak using tongues as a prayer language to ourselves for edification and to God in the Church.

If there is no interpreter we are to pray in tongues to God and not minister to people in tongues. This is what Paul meant as you can see from the above scripture. This is very simple and true yet the devil has blinded many for years.

The Apostle went on by the power of the Spirit which foresaw our modern doctrines and commanded that no one should forbid speaking in tongues in the church;

Wherefore, brethren, covet to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues. Let all things be done decently and in order .1Corithians 14: 39-40

The Apostle was only trying to establish decency and order and not forbidding the speaking with tongues in the church. Observe again that he says speaking with tongues and not speaking in tongues. Speaking with tongues connotes speaking with diverse kinds of tongues.

The place to use speaking in tongues as a prayer language, the place to use speaking with diverse tongues for ministering to others and the place for prophecy should all be ordered and not mixed up in the Church.

You get to start exercising your faith by engaging this gift.  Others think the Holy Ghost must lay hold on their tongues and speak in tongues for them, but that notion too is wrong, you choose when to start and when to stop. You pray with the Spirit, you also pray with the understanding. Look at what the Apostle says;

What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also: I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also. 1Corithians 14: 15

Observe the statements carefully, he says “I will pray with the spirit” not the spirit forcing him but it was a conscious decision. And why is this so? We are told;

And the spirits of the prophets are subject to the prophets. 1Corithians 14: 32

May the Lord grant unto us the grace and revelation to lay hold on this wonderful opportunity in seeing the fullness of God manifesting in our lives.

In an encounter with the LORD, I saw a Christian who visited his home town which he left when he was very young. As he went to his own house, he was finding it difficult to recognize the houses because he had grown so much that these houses he used to see as very tall buildings were now so short before his eyes. Then the LORD said “This is the moment of exponential growth.”

I was led to;

Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great:  Genesis 26: 12-13

Then the LORD said; “This is the moment of exponential growth. A sudden growth beyond your expectations is upon all you do.

 I have blessed you, and in season, you are waxing great, going forward, growing and becoming very great”

It is Time to Run

The door is still kept open! Many are pressing through. The truth is that the opposition is strong and unrelenting – But the sons of God by the power of the Spirit are pushing back the pressure through confrontation. The Son is manifesting his kingdom in greater ways right now.

Yes, it is a glorious thing to commune with our father of light through the language of the Spirit called Speaking in tongues. We have seen that this is an incredible gift, it is the rest God has ordained for a feeble man like me through which he exceeds my expectations.

As I speak in tongues by stammering.. Doing my ka ka le ko ko lema sha ta ta! God is working all things together for the good of a weak man as I am.

Isaiah 28:11-12
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Now the last part of the verse says “Yet they would not hear” Now why will not hear? Why will they not accept this incredible gift?

They will not hear because this is foolishness to the acclaimed mighty. How can a man who is might in words, an educated man, a wise man after the flesh accept to become a stammerer in other to communicate more efficiently with God? To the wise this is utter foolishness. It is a thing to mock at.

This is why when the Holy Spirit first fell upon the Apostles what we hear from the wise around was that – others mocked;

Acts 2:13
Others mocking said, These men are full of new wine.

Observe carefully the first statement, others were mocking because it looked foolish. If you are not drunk you can’t be talking like a stammerer in the name of you are talking to God. So the mighty reject this for it is prepared for a foolish and weak man as I am. Those drunk with the Spirit. God decided to choose this seemingly foolish thing to confound the wise;

1 Corinthians 1:27
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty;

The same way many mock at a chronic stammerer, looking at him as being foolish, so God has decided to use the language of the one the world has despised as a means of effectively commutating with him. This is foolishness to the wise and it is the reason the mighty reject this great door of power.

May I always remain a fool that I may gain the favour of my God.

Now there is another thing, others say when you speak in tongues someone MUST hear what you say. That they must be an interpretation. That on the day of Pentecost when the apostles spoke in tongues others heard them speak in their earthly languages, therefore even us today when we speak in tongues, it must be a language that can understood

We will look at this properly tomorrow through the word of God…

In an encounter with the LORD, I heard ” It is time to run”

Joel 2:4-11
The appearance of them is as the appearance of horses; and as horsemen, so shall they run. Like the noise of chariots on the tops of mountains shall they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devoureth the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array. Before their face the people shall be much pained: all faces shall gather blackness. They shall run like mighty men; they shall climb the wall like men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks: Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded. They shall run to and fro in the city; they shall run upon the wall, they shall climb up upon the houses; they shall enter in at the windows like a thief. The earth shall quake before them; the heavens shall tremble: the sun and the moon shall be dark, and the stars shall withdraw their shining: And the LORD shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the LORD is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?

Then the Lord said “It is time for the army of the Lord to arise and run with the vision of God. Do not be afraid for to the camp of the enemy you appear as horses with the noise of chariots and the noise of the flame of fire devouring the stubble.

You are a strong people set in battle array. Now it is time to run! Before your face the powers of darkness trembles.

Run as mighty men. Run for even when you fall upon the sword, you will not be wounded, for nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Run to and fro in the city, take the city, for the earth quakes before you, the heavens tremble at your presence for the voice of your God goes before you.

My beloved army, It is time to run in the execution of my word upon the earth.”

It is Just a Battle of Words

It is a moment to stay focused, it is a moment to let go of all our desires and to put on Christ as our only desire and fulfilment. The enemy is attacking through desires, even the desires of good things but as many as are making Christ their only desire, they are being filled with the Lord as their satisfaction.

Yes, we have been looking at a very powerful gift called speaking in tongues. We established yesterday that it is a divine aid to the Christian. It is our help in this infirm flesh. We saw it explained in this chapter;

Romans 8:26-27
Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

Yes, when the Spirit intercedes for us, he prays the mind of God for us concerning everything, this is why we are told in the next verse;

Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Observe the word “And” at the beginning of the verse, it is signifying a conjunction connecting the working of all things together for our good to the intercession of the Holy spirit. This means if we want all this to work for our good, praying in tongues is inevitable.

So now it is said the Spirit makes intercession for us with groanings that cannot be
be uttered, the word translated for uttered above is from the Greek word alalētos which means unspeakable ( Strong’s Concordance G215).

The words are unspeakable but there is a sound since to groan a sound must be made.

So to speak in tongues is to groan with unspeakable words. You want to say it but it just does not come out right. Now look at how the word so clearly describes tongues;

Isaiah 28:11-12
For with stammering lips and another tongue will he speak to this people. To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.

Tongues are a sign to unbelievers “Wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not” (1Cor. 14:22).

Now with this understanding, observe carefully the above verse, it says speaking in tongues is stammering. With stammering lips and another tongues will the Spirit speak through the believer as a sign to unbelievers that the promised Holy Spirit has arrived.

We all know how a stammerer tries to say words which are often not uttered or which are unspeakable. He tries to say it but it sounds like groaning. Especially in a person who is chronic stammerer.

Now see how Apostle Paul renders it in the new testament when discussing tongues.

1 Corinthians 14:21
In the law it is written, With men of other tongues and other lips will I speak unto this people; and yet for all that will they not hear me, saith the Lord.

He calls it other tongues and other lips. These lips are rather the stammerer’s lips.

But there is something we must observe in the Isaiah 28:11-12. It says “This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.”

Oh that you may receive the above revelation, it says speaking in tongues is the rest for the weary, it is the refreshing for the infirm but it is sadly ended “yet they would hear”

When people argue and reject speaking in tongues, they are only fulfilling prophecy. It is already said they will not hear. They are rejecting their rest and refreshing.

When you rest through speaking in tongues God works all things out for your good. God does more for you than you can ever imagine. Praying in tongues is the rest God has ordained, it is the waiting on God. Look at what we are told;

From of old no one has heard or perceived by the ear, no eye has seen a God besides you, who acts for those who wait for him. Isaiah 64:4 ESV

But is is said “yet they would not hear” But why won’t they? We will continue tomorrow…

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw someone who was sick, this person was attributing the sickness to strange things but I heard the Lord say to this person “it is just a battle of words “

I was led to;
And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Revelation 12:11

And again;

2 Corinthians 10:5
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Then the Lord said “Do not go with the imaginations, reject every high thing, every thought that comes against your knowledge of what I have done for you.

Bring every thought to obey all I have accomplished for you.

It is just a battle of words. keep declaring the word of your victory as the blood has already procured your triumph.”

The Victory is Already Yours

Heaven has declared the victory, the push is on. The victory is appearing, even though it is tough, his coming forth is as certain as the morning. As we are looking to him – he is appearing more and more glorious in our lives.

There is such a thing as speaking in tongues in scripture that if understood will keep a lot of us fresh and filled with supernatural power. I understand that many are tongue talking Christians and many have not accepted this precious gift yet because of they have not fully understood its impact.

And some Christians speak in tongues but they do not fully understand why it is necessary and the spiritual effect of what they are doing. In a few writings we will get the treasure out and see if its needed, if its an option or if its something you get to put your shoes on and get it rocking in your life.

Now, I understand that a lot of people go with church doctrines to a level where they never allow the word of God get in the way of what they believe or have been taught by a church doctrine, but the word of God is a more sure word of prophecy. Let every man be a liar and let only God be true.

An intelligent Christian, a noble and honourable Christian when he hears the word preached does something prestigious, he does not rush into condemnation and argument but he goes back to confirm from God’s word if what he heard was true;

Acts 17:11
These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

This is a blue print to knowing if what you hear is right or wrong.
Now, God has blessed us with a unique gift called speaking in tongues, this is a divine aid to our natural infirmities. Speaking in tongues is not an option, it is rather pride not to speak in tongues. When we pray in tongues our Spirit prays;

1 Corinthians 14:14
For if I pray in an unknown tongue, my spirit prayeth, but my understanding is unfruitful.

It is a spiritual language that makes no sense to our natural senses. Paul correctly says when I pray in this unknown tongue, my spirit is communicating with God but my understanding is unfruitful. I do not know what I am saying. We will come to that later but when we pray in tongues our spirit which is one and same Holy Ghost prays. Why does He do that? Why does the Spirit need to pra for me?

Romans 8:26-27

Observe carefully the first sentence ” Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities “. This is saying that every Christian is infirm. The Greek word translated above for infirmities is the word astheneia which means feebleness (of body or mind); malady; moral frailty (Strong’s Concordance G769)

Disagreeing with praying with the Spirit is outright spiritual arrogance against God and a denial that you are not feeble, your body and mind are sound without the help of the Holy Spirit. That you have no moral frailty, you are perfect needing no help from the promised Holy Spirit to communicate efficiently with the Lord.

But in the above verse we have infirmities and so we do not know what we should pray for as we ought to pray. We may know how to pray but what matters to God is what to pray for. It is not just the sending of words to heaven but what needs to be received in heaven at a particular time.

Now this feebleness is this, we are in one place at a time, we do not know what is happening even behind our backs when we are facing forward. We have diverse areas of our lives and other matters that needs attention always; Family, business, ministry, health, Nation, weather, etc. All these have distinctive and individual requests before the Lord as each day comes with its troubles and only God understands his purpose for each one perfectly.

No one can claim that he or she understands the will of God concerning everything in our lives and beyond perfectly. Hence, when we pray with the Spirit, when we pray in tongues, we are humbling our selves before God and allowing his Spirit to pray with us, for the Spirit understands perfectly the will of God.

This is why you need praying in tongues if you want to leave the hit and miss prayer life. If you need results and not sound words which are often not the will of God for the moment, you get to start speaking in tongues when you are filled with the Holy Ghost.

Then there is something said above, the Spirit maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered “

But what are these groanings that cannot not be uttered? We will look at that tomorrow…

In an encounter with the Lord; I saw the Lord send a gift to a Christian, but I saw a deceiver trying to swindle this gift off the hands of this Christian.

But then I saw holy anger in the eyes and heart of this Christian as he turned in rage over and against the enemy in defence of what the Lord had given to him.

The the Spirit led me to:

John 10:10
The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

And again;

Ephesians 6:11, 13
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” “Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

Then the Lord said; “Every good gift is from me, the father of light, with me there is no shadow of turning.

I have given you life, I have given you gifts, for I AM here that you may have a superabundant life.

Put on the amour of your God and defend all I have given to you – for what you see is a deception. The enemy comes to steal, kill and to destroy, therefore, take to your self the whole armour of your God and withstand in this evil day.

The Victory is already yours, the abundant life I have already given, only stand your ground and walk in the victory I have prepared for you.”

I AM Renewing Your Gift

They are many hearts that are receiving breakthroughs at this hour even though it is not like many thought, as many as are rising above the waters they are receiving the fresh breathe. The waters are still there, but there is a rising above the waters into the Joy of the Lord.

Yes, we are still looking at divine healing. We need this more than ever. We need to remind ourselves of these privileges and go forward in the practice of them if we must live in these evil days without fear.

Now there is something that has happened to the Christian that I will share with us today. The man in Christ is a different kind of creation entirely to the man in Adam. The man in Adam does not have life in him;

1 John 5:12
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

Observe carefully the above words. He does not have life in him. There is no life in his spirit, soul, and body. When we talk of life we mean the God kind of life. Why?

1 Corinthians 15:45
And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

The first Adam was made a living soul. Oh that you may see this. He was made an existing soul. He was just living but there is something different about the second Adam who is Christ.

We are told “The last Adam was made a quickening spirit” a life giving Spirit. They word used above for quickening is from the Greek word zōopoieō which means to vitalize (Strong’s Concordance G2227).

Where the first Adam was just a living soul, the last Adam was made a vitalizing Spirit. A life giving Spirit.

He doesn’t just exist, by nature he is made a life giving Spirit. Continually emanating life.

Now every Christian has this life giving Spirit, this vitalizing Spirit in his body. If you do not have him, you are not saved.

Romans 8:9
But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

The Spirit of God and the Spirit of Christ are same and one Spirit as you can see used above interchangeably.

Because he is a life giving Spirit, we are told in the eight chapter of the eleventh verse;

Romans 8:11
But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

Now this is it, EVERY CHRISTIAN HAS A SELF HEALING MECHANISM INSIDE HIS BODY. We do not need natural medicine to receive healing. We have a medicine in our bodies already.

we are no longer in Adam having a mere existence but now the life emanating Spirit of God is vitalizing our mortal bodies. Giving life to every fibre of our being. Every tissue, every cell is constantly receiving divine life of God. Glory to God!!!

But why have I not being experience it? We dealt with that yesterday. Philemon 1:6 tells us why. Many Christians are perishing for lack of knowledge. Now you know, keep looking at Jesus, take his state as your state and experience the God kind of Life

In an encounter with the Lord, I heard “I AM renewing your gift”

I was led to;

Isaiah 40:29-31
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

Then the Lord said; ” I AM revitalizing your gift. I AM giving power to the faint. I AM increasing your abilities.

As you wait upon your God you are being renewed to rise higher and to go faster in life with the power of your God.

When men faint you will still be standing, because the foundation of your strength is your God.”
