May the Grace of Christ Be with Your Spirit

Yes, Gleanings from the Book of Galatians.

We saw in our last discussion, how Paul encouraged the the Galatians to consider his weighty letter and how he revealed that they which teach the law only desire to make a show of the flesh.

Then we hear the apostle continue;

For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh. Galatians 6:13

Look closely at this statement “For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law”

This is it, circumcision itself became a preaching in those days as it was one of the major articles of the covenant, but Paul here sentenced everyone who attempts the keeping of the law and those who are of the preaching of the law as not actually keeping the law.

The apostle does not just make this statement but it was through their experience and the testimony of the fathers that he made this conclusion;

Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they. Acts 15:10-11

To teach the observation of the law is to rather tempt the almighty God. Moses the giver of the law could not make it to the promised land. He broke the same law he gave to Israel and God declared his disobedience had disqualified him from entering the promised land.

The apostle knew this and by their experience with the law knew better that they Could not keep the law, hence, there was no hypocrisy in them but to look to Jesus to be justified and saved by the grace of God.

Wherefore, Paul conclusively declares everyone pretending to be observing the works of the law as living in hypocrisy.

Observe again this statement “but desire to have you circumcised, that they may glory in your flesh.”

This is with circumcision even as it is with the other laws. These false teachers would have you engage in the keeping of the law to which they know you cannot keep. When you attempt and fail, you turn and look up to them as those who are perfect under God’s law.

Hence, they now have received the occasion to glory in your flesh, to boast over you with their false achievements.

But look at what the apostle says was his own stand;

But God forbid that I should glory, save in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world. Galatians 6:14

What an attitude to learn from. The apostle’s only place of glorying was not in his works but in the cross of Christ. In what the Lord has done to save the chief of sinners, the least of all saints.

Then we hear “by whom the world is crucified unto me, and I unto the world”

He counted the entire world and all the glories it can offer a thing of disdain. He deemed the world to be totally repugnant unto him when compared with the treasure of knowing Christ.

He saw himself totally dead to the desires of the world. O’ may this be our portion.

He counted all his works, all his achievements as dung. The world crucified unto him. But why?

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision, but a new creature. Galatians 6:15

Here everything else is vain, circumcision and uncircumcision counts not. The keeping of the law or rejecting the keeping of the law matters nothing but a creature, to be born of God.

What matters is if a man be in Christ, he is a new creation, old things are passed away. He is regenerated, filled with God.

Here God comes down to take his abode in the quarters of his heart. Here God dwells in him, walks in him, and works in him both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

Then we hear;

And as many as walk according to this rule, peace be on them, and mercy, and upon the Israel of God. Galatians 6:16

This is the standard of life for the Christian. The apostle concludes his discussion with a blessing on all those who walk after the new nature. Those who walk after the rule of the new creation have the peace and mercy of God resting upon them, for they are the true Israel of God.

Then we hear;

From henceforth let no man trouble me: for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus. Galatians 6:17

This is is a profound declaration, the apostle having exhaustively declared to the Galatia Churches the doctrine of justification by faith in Christ alone, concludes here that”henceforth let no man trouble me”

What he has shared in this letter is enough to give everyman all the light he needs as it pertains to the doctrine of justification by faith.

Hence, no more troubling the apostle.

Then we hear”for I bear in my body the marks of the Lord Jesus”

For the cause of the cross of Christ he had face scourging, reproaches, sufferings and general persecutions, thus he was the more qualified to teach them and now wishes to be left alone untroubled.

Finally;

Brethren, the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit. Amen. Galatians 6:18

He still calls them brethren, an assurance of his love and affection for them all, and then he finally prays for them, that the grace of God be with their spirit so they can be filled with the revelations of the grace and love of God in preaching the Gospel of The Grace of God.

May the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with the spirit of my reader. May you grow in the revelation of Jesus, may you understand the breadth, length, height and the depth of God’s love and may he do exceedingly, abundantly, above all you ask or even think according to the power at work in you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ’ Amen!

“Open Doors!”

Yes, Gleanings From The Book of Galatians.

We saw in our last discussion how Paul admonished us not to be weary in welling doing, for we shall reap if we faint not.  There is no giving up for the Christian, our hope will never fail us.

Then the apostle continues by drawing the attention of the Galatia churches to something for them to weigh;

“Ye see how large a letter I have written unto you with mine own hand,”   Galatians 6:11.

We have been observing, right from the first chapter of this book to this point, that the Grace of God is the content of this entire letter the apostle wrote to the Galatians.

Hence, he seems here to draw their attention to the prolixity of the letter.

They had known what a busy man he was, and knowing that most of his letters were not written by his own hand but dictated to his coworkers.  By the above verse he wishes to intimate them of the weight of the issues discussed herein.

Their turning away from The Grace of Christ to the works of the flesh for justification, was not a mere issue but a weighty one, for they were denying Christ by their works, making his work vain through their going back to Judaism.

Thus, the sacrifice Paul made was to assure them of his love and to deeply reveal to them the error they were in.

Then we hear the apostle continue;

“As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh, they constrain you to be circumcised; only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ,”   Galatians 6:12.

Observe carefully this statement “As many as desire to make a fair shew in the flesh…”

It is just a show, their is no reality in it.  Many a people desire popular applause, eye service, they desire to make themselves distinguished from others, therefore they hide under a false zeal by putting on a false cloak of perfection through their observation of the works of the law.

The apostle calls all of that a show, there is no reality in it. It is all done to win favour and acceptance in the eyes of men.  This is why we must be spiritual to discern for we all are accepted before the tribunal of God by faith alone in Christ Jesus.

“Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified,”   Galatians 2:16.

Then we hear, “They constraint you to be circumcised….”

Circumcision after Salvation in Christ was an issue predominant in the day of the Churches in Galatia, but today men are constrained to observe ridiculous religious works as means to earn God’s blessings, neglecting the already accomplished work of the Christ which brings upon us the free favour of God.

Observe carefully this last statement in the verse, “only lest they should suffer persecution for the cross of Christ…..”

O’ when I see this kind of scriptures I become so overwhelmed with courage to pursue the course The LORD has called me unto.

When you wear the garment of religious works, you become so appealing to ordinary men.  Even though all your claims to perfection are false, they see you as the man of God, a perfect representation of God.

But when you deny yourself of every claim to self righteousness and start pointing everyone to the righteousness of Christ, you appear a sinner in eyes of the religious, it becomes as though you are ministering sin, while in reality you are not;

“But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid,”    Galatians 2:17.

Your pushing of people to The Cross of Christ is offensive to those who are holding unto their works, hence the persecution.

They assume they are something in themselves, glorying in the flesh, wherefore, they are ready to destroy you for what they seemingly think is their identity.

You desire to be applauded?

You desire to be highly esteemed of men?

Go for The Law!  Go for works!

But if you desire to live the life of Grace?

Get ready for persecution.

You desire to preach The Cross of Christ?

Get ready for persecution.

But there is something divine, with the persecution comes the peace that surpasses understanding.  Under this persecution, you are supported by the unconditional Love and Grace of The Almighty.

May Christ be all our desire, may he be our works and may we be satisfied with Him as our Salvation!

In an encounter with The LORD, I saw a Child of God.  You have been in a place… it looks as though you have been under stagnation.  You have been sensing God speak the Victory, but it has really been tough with you.

But I saw things radically change to your amazement.  I saw you step into favour for sometime you have been tempted to think it has become totally impossible.

When I saw this, I heard The LORD say, “Open doors.”

Beloved it is your season of open doors!

“And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open,”   Isaiah 22:22.

I AM Multiplying The Harvest

Yes, Gleanings From The Book of Galatians.

We saw in our last discussion God’s plan for us in sowing. When, where and what to sow. That if we heed to his word and sow, whatsoever we sow, we shall reap, for He cannot be mocked.

Then we hear the apostle continue;

Galatians 6:9
And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

This is a very powerful verse. First it is generic “And let us not be weary in well doing”

Whatsoever good we are involved in, It could be sowing the word, it could be giving, it could be ministry, it could be showing mercy, it could be exaltation, it could be raising godly kids, whatsoever endeavour God has blessed us to walk in, we are admonished to not be weary in doing the good needed.

Why does the apostle admonish us not to be weary?

Because it is never easy. Every godly counsel demands selflessness. It is always a work of sacrifice. Time, energy and resources are always consumed.

Hence, continual sacrifice without knowing when to reap may be hard on us most times.

Sometimes it is as though the entire hell is loosed over us, and if we do not observe things through the eyes of faith, we may be tempted to think God has completely deserted us.

But we hear the apostle make another renowned statement “for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not”

You see, unto everything under heaven, there is a time.

Ecclesiastes 3:1
To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

When we sow, we ought not to think by the next moment we should reap. There is a time to sow and there is a time to reap.

Ecclesiastes 3:2
“a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted”

This is how the kingdom of God operates. There is a time to plant and there is a time to pluck up that which is planted.

In between the time of sowing and the time of reaping, there is a growing up period where the seed sown grows up to bear fruits.

Even if its money sown to reap a financial harvest, there is still a time period required for the harvest.

It does not matter what the seed is sown for, the word sown could be for healing, financial prosperity, Joy, peace and just whatsoever. As long as it is in God’s kingdom, it follows the kingdom principle.

The procedure is explained to us in the verses below:

Mark 4:26-29
And he said, So is the kingdom of God, as if a man should cast seed into the ground; And should sleep, and rise night and day, and the seed should spring and grow up, he knoweth not how. For the earth bringeth forth fruit of herself; first the blade, then the ear, after that the full corn in the ear. But when the fruit is brought forth, immediately he putteth in the sickle, because the harvest is come.

Observe the statement “he knoweth not how”

This is why we are admonished to not be weary. The specifics of how God is going to fulfill his word, many a times, the time of manifestation is not given to us.

Most times, before the harvest, God is dealing with the root system, refining us to carry the weight of the harvest, or allowing the seed to establish deeper and firm roots to be able to carry the weight of the glory it will produce.

We may not know how God is going to give unto us the harvest, but one thing we know is that, God cannot be mocked, “for in due season we shall reap if we faint not”

Then the apostle continues;

Galatians 6:10
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Observe the statement “As we have therefore opportunity”

If God has placed us in a position to be of help to others “let us do good unto all men”

Not just to our friends, relations or to our acquaintances, but to all men.

Where you come from may be your opportunity, the family you are born from may be your opportunity, your job may be your occasion to do good to others.

Every opportunity we have in life has been placed upon us by God, and as faithful stewards of the manifold grace of God, it is an opportunity for us to minister his love to others “especially unto them who are of the household of faith “

In an encounter with the Lord as I was meditating upon these scriptures, I heard the Lord say these words to a beloved “My child, I AM acquainted with the feeling of what you are going through. The adversary desires for you to faint which is the reason for the heat upon you.

But be strong, continue on the path you are on. Do not be weary in all the good you do in my name. I have not left you, and I AM not unrighteous to forget your labour of love.

You may not know how, but I AM multiplying the harvest of every seed you’ve sown, and your life I AM filling with a glorious harvest.

Follow My Peace!

Yes, Gleanings from the Book of Galatians.

We saw in our last discussion that we are to bear one another’s burden, thus fulfilling the law of Christ which is the law of love.

Then the apostle opens up something new;

Galatians 6:6
Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.

There is tremendous revelation in the above verse. A lot of people are confused as to when , where and what to give. But the above scripture clearly reveal all of that.

When do I give?

“Let him that is taught”

When you are taught the word you are to give in response to the spiritual food offered to you. This is your spiritual duty. This is the will and ordinance of God for the Christian.

Knowing this should remove the question of should I give? If I give, is it God’s will?

The real question is for us to ask ourselves was I taught? Did I learn from the teaching?

If you are taught you are under divine obligation to give.

Where or who do I give to?

“Communicate unto him that teacheth”

Where are you truly being taught? Who is teaching you the realities of the word? By whose teaching are you being built up? From who are you receiving the new discoveries of Christ?

Give to such a one the Apostle declares.

I have so much refrained from the teaching of giving as I have perceived many view all ministers as trying to make money off people. Hence, I am content with the supplies of God upon my life.

But I may just say this as I am led and you may as well take me as the rest to the glory of God.

You see, there was a man called Arthur Pink. In his day he was never known, a great teacher of the word. A man who devoted his entire being to prayer and studies. He wrote books that when I read today, I am always shocked at the revelations of God he received.

The foundation he struggled to lay for the church is priceless. Yet in his day he suffered and died in poverty. Totally neglected.

Why? Because men do not value the word! The word is lightly esteemed. Our supposed personal comfort more appreciated.

Matthew 6:24
No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.

If men do not despise the word, godly ministers would be well furnished to present to us the unadulterated gospel of Christ.

I have seen that mere religion is often adorned with all the luxury but true or genuine spiritual leaders are often neglected, since they are never appealing to the flesh and since they do not use post modern techniques to get money off people.

One of the biggest ploys of Satan is to defraud holy ministers of the resources, thus hindering the truth of the word from growing and prevailing in the body of Christ.

Hence, the apostle says godly ministers, those who teach the gospel are to be supported with all temporal good things for them to continue in the supply of Spiritual things.

It takes total commitment and sacrifice to be genuine which is why The Who to give to is specified here by the apostle.

what do I give?

“Communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.”

Observe the word “all good things”

Everything good – monetary support, material support, physical labours, every kind of support proper for making the minister comfortable to dedicate his entire time to study and prayer and the ministry of the word.

Your value of the word is proportion to the value of your soul. The soul reformed is priceless. It ought to be our highest investment:

Matthew 16:26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

If we obey God’s plan, we will produce a genuine generation of preachers. Which is the reason we hear the apostle say;

Galatians 6:7
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

Observe the statement “Be not deceived”

We can easily be deceived by unreasonable excuses from carrying out our Christian duties. There is no need looking at the excuses, the heart of God is for the propagation of the gospel which is the reason he gives us the power to make wealth.

Anything outside of propagating God’s kingdom is deemed as mockery.

Many are expecting to reap but they have sown nothing. Nature tells us, just as the word declares, you must sow to reap.

It is a spiritual system God has established. You are expecting financial breakthrough? how have you stewarded the little he has given you through propagating the gospel?

He who is faithful in little will be faithful in much. How have you been faithful with the little he has given to you?

When it comes to finances you must despise Mammon and trust the Lord as your provider.

This is very serious we hear the apostle say;

Galatians 6:8
For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting.

You need the life of God to manifest in your finances? It begins by trusting him with the little you have. The when, who or what to give are explained above.

Dear beloved, we are not of those that sow to their flesh to which only corruption awaits them, we are kingdom minded people, a loving generation.

we are kingdom financiers, people with money on mission. We sow into spiritual things and the life of abundance is surely manifesting for us.

In an encounter with the Lord, “I saw an attack on a Child of God the produced a lot of condemnation.

I noticed there was pressure on this beloved to succumb to these attacks which were meant to get you out of the way how you have been following God.

I was led to:

1 John 3:20-21
For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things. Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

And again;

Colossians 3:15
And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Then the Lord said “My Child, I see the temptation upon you which is designed to lay you off my path for you. Though you cannot understand it all, follow the peace within your heart. I AM your peace, where I lead there is tranquillity.

If your heart condemns you, I AM greater than your heart my child for I know all things. Which is why I say to you follow My peace as I guide you from within. Look to me as your righteousness and receive confidence to move on victoriously.”

I Heard “You Will See All Your Enemies Defeated” – By Pastor Jahfas Victor Ahua

You Will See All Your Enemies Defeated

Yes, Gleanings from The Book of Galatians.

We saw in our last discussion, how the apostle admonishes us to walk in the Spirit, even as we are living in the Spirit. Encouraging us to love one another;

Then we hear;

Galatians 6:1
Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

Observe carefully this statement “If a man be overtaken in a fault”

The word overtaken in the above statement does not suggest a conscious desire to take part in sinning, but an occurrence which could happen by chance as a consequence of negligence or from our adversary the devil who goes about like a roaring lion looking for whom to devour.

This is to be taken into consideration, that a Christian does not willfully sin but can be overtaken, which suggests he desires to run on in the right path but may be overtaken by temptation from the enemy or from the effects of sin in the body.

It is a declaration that no genuine Christian will vehemently desire to set a world record of sin.

As we war against the passions of the flesh, there is a possibility that we may stumble at some point.

This should shut the eyes that seek to find fault at the brethren at every failure.

Observe again this statement “ye which are spiritual”

A qualification for those who are to restore a brother overtaken by a fault, those that are spiritual. It does not just mean the pastors and elders but a Spirit led, Spirit walking Christian can restore a brother who may have been overtaken by a fault.

The plan is laid down for us in the eighteenth chapter of Mathew. Right from the fifteenth to the seventeenth verses (Mathew 18:15-17).

It is further stated in this first verse this sixth verse of Galatians to “restore such an one in the spirit of meekness”

First, we observe from the above statement that the mind of God towards his child overtaken by a fault is not condemnation but restoration. God is seeking to restore and not to condemn.

Therefore, our focus towards a brother that stumbles should be to restore and not to condemn. It is not to totally destroy the one to whom our Lord has died for, but to help get him back on his fit.

Then the manner of restoration is made known unto us, “in the spirit of meekness” and not with rashness.

But why in meekness?

“Considering thy self, lest thou be also tempted”

Considering thy self?

Yes, because no one is above temptation. You may be strong at the moment, but you definitely have not arrived.

See yourself in the situation of your brother, and treat him as you would love others to do unto you if you ever find yourself in that situation.

Hence, we are to treat the overtaken brother even in love just as we desire others to do unto us.

Then we hear the apostle say;

Galatians 6:2
Bear ye one another’s burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.

If this statement was not made directly after the above verse we have expounded, the enemy would have used this to mean we should be accomplice to the sins of others.

But we see from the expounded verse that the mind of God is for us to restore the brother overtaken by a fault in a way of love. In a mild and friendly manner, thus helping to bear one another’s burdens and not by becoming accomplices.

Then we hear “and so fulfill the law of Christ”

There is the law of Moses and there is the law of Christ. The law of Christ is the royal law, the law of love.

John 13:34
A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another.

As we lean on the Spirit to manifest the fruit of love, we are fulfilling the law of Christ. Loving others out of the love he has shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit.

Then the apostle continues with a generic statement;

Galatians 6:3
For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself.

O’ that you may see this, in reality we are all nothing, but there is a folly that can come upon a man when he begins to live in vain admiration of himself to which the word above says it is a deception.

I say the truth in love, the highest revelation a man can have to which God reveals his glory in and through him is the revelation of what it means to be humble. Considering yourself totally nothing and undeserving of even the lowest rank in life.

This doesn’t come by acting but by divine revelation.

Why a lot of people fight pride is that, they have being deceived by the enemy that they are somewhat something to which we hear the apostle say above “when he is nothing”

If you are a Christian, you are absolutely nothing, you are called because God saw your destitute and empty state, But desires to fill you with his Glory so only him would be seen.

God calls the things that are not:

1 Corinthians 1:27-29
But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence.

I tell you the truth, this must be revealed to you. When our minds are transformed and we see our emptiness, we become the good ground for the grace of God to manifest.

See, grace is underserved favour, where there is something in you to which you think by this I can, grace cannot rest upon the arm of the flesh. Grace rests on the soil called humility;

James 4:6
But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.

Hence the apostle says

“For if a man think himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceiveth himself”

When you have hit the reality of your nothingness, you have hit the treasure of more .

we hear the apostle say something very revealing in the following verse, he says;

Galatians 6:4
But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another. For every man shall bear his own burden.

O’ I just feel like stirring someone up to Christian modesty.

See, the proof of whatsoever we think of ourselves is results. Show me your faith and I will show you my faith by my works is what the apostle says above.

Men are often vainly puffed up by their fleshy minds when they compare themselves with others and esteem others low in their caral opinion.

When men think they are more qualified than others the devil has them where he wants.

Others are there as a result of their walk with God. It is a proof the grace of God is manifesting on a humble soil.

Your faith ought to make room for you, for every man shall bear his own burden the apostle says.

If my faith is not solving all my problems, I will ever remain humble and learn from those with results and not think beyond my nothingness.

We are absolutely zero, when we see ourselves as God sees us, we will honour and treat others with love even as we have received from the Lord’ s hands.

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw a child of God in an assignment, I saw as things looked dry but you continued in hope and praise to the Lord!

I saw you turn up the next time at your place of work and I saw you surprised at the way things began to spring up wonderfully.

2 Chronicles 20:22-25
And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten. For the children of Ammon and Moab stood up against the inhabitants of mount Seir, utterly to slay and destroy them: and when they had made an end of the inhabitants of Seir, every one helped to destroy another. And when Judah came toward the watch tower in the wilderness, they looked unto the multitude, and, behold, they were dead bodies fallen to the earth, and none escaped. And when Jehoshaphat and his people came to take away the spoil of them, they found among them in abundance both riches with the dead bodies, and precious jewels, which they stripped off for themselves, more than they could carry away: and they were three days in gathering of the spoil, it was so much.

Then The Lord said “My beloved child, keep praising and worshiping your God. Although they that are against you are beyond your capacity, Your God is on your side.

I have set my ambush in the camp of your enemies and the spoil is beyond your capacity.

Go on with the work, I have relieved you of your part in the battle, I say to you my Child, the battle is the Lord’s.

You will see all your enemies defeated before your eyes by MY outstretched Arm, and the abundance come to you as you stand in worship and praise to your God.

You Are Enabled

Yes, Gleanings From the Book of Galatians.

We saw from our last discussion, the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit. The works of the flesh being a manifestation of the old man, and the fruit of the Spirit the essence of the divine being in us, against which there is no law.

Then the apostle goes on to say;

Galatians 5:24
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts.

Now, this is it, the scripture uses the word flesh to mean three things; the old man, a carnal way of thinking and the natural body.

Here it is used to denote the old man. The old man was impaled to the cross the moment we accepted Jesus. It was crucified, extinguished the moment we accepted Christ, with its inordinate affections.

Romans 6:6
Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.

It is totally destroyed. It is yanked out the moment we accept Jesus. The body of sin, otherwise called the old man was kicked out, and the new man, the Spirit of Christ now our own and very Spirit.

We are freed from the nature of sin, hence, we are free from the penalty of sin, which is eternal death.

Romans 6:7
For he that is dead is freed from sin.

Now this is it, when the word says we have been delivered from sin, on this other side of life, it is talking of the nature and the penalty for sin.

We are dead to the old man with his affections and are alive to God right in our Spirits.

What the Christian is dealing with today is the effects of the nature of sin. It killed our bodies.

So, today, we are fighting the residue or the effects of what the old man did to us. But the old man himself is totally kicked out of us by the life of Jesus.

We do not have dual natures in us, the nature of Satan and the nature of God all together in one body, the temple God. We only have one new man as our Spirit. The new man, who is the resurrected Christ.

Then the apostle opens up something powerful;

Galatians 5:25
If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.

Observe carefully this statement “If we live in the Spirit”

That you may see this, live in the Spirit?

We have become so familiar with these kind of statements to a level we have left the power therein unutilized.

The same statement was made in Acts. Paul makes this statement here expansively;

Acts 17:28
“For in him we live, and move, and have our being”

This Truth carries in it the power to make us free from the elements of this world.

we live in Christ, we walk move in Christ. All the activities we do daily are done in Christ.

Christ is a place. Christ is the heavenly place. Christ is the kingdom. There is no heaven or kingdom outside of Christ.

He is also our being. He is our reality. I live in Christ, I walk in Christ, he is my being, he is my body, he is my essence, hence, I cannot accept anything but Christ.

I cannot accept sickness and disease, I cannot accept failure, I cannot accept poverty, I cannot accept death, for I live in the person of Christ. I live in the kingdom of God, therefore I cannot be subject to the elements of this world.

See, this is not mere blabbing, Paul was lost in this revelation until he was surprised at the way the Colossian church was living as though they were still in the world.

He marveled that they had not realised that they were dead to the elements of this world. We hear him say;

Colossians 2:20
Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances,

O’, that you may see this Scripture and arise!

I have always been subject to cold weather, specifically the rainy season over here in Nigeria.

At first I thought it was normal until I was born again. Anytime the weather would change, I would become afraid and would fall sick of cough and catarrh until the entire season would run out.

This would always affect my productivity through out the season as I would be weak, coughing and snorting all through the season.

This year, the Holy Ghost so rebuked me through this Scripture, not to even think I could be subject to the elements of the world as it came as usual. I got angry, I could not tolerate it any longer and I am now well and healthy even as the season is still on, to the glory of God.

That you may see that the enemy is only tempting you, to see if you know that you are no longer in his kingdom but in Christ.

Whether you truly know that you are no longer subject to his elements.

Beloved, now that we leave in the Spirit, let us walk in the Spirit.

May we be led by the Spirit, may we love one another by the power of the Spirit. May we shine the light of Christ to the nations brighter than ever.

Galatians 5:26
Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw a Child of God, you started fine, equipped by God unto the work you are now in.

But you are beginning to feel pressure as though you do not have enough to run through with the assignment God has put you in, based on the outcome of things around you.

Coming out The Spirit led me to;

1 Timothy 1:12
And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry;

Then the Lord Said, “My Child, before I placed you in my assignment for you, I already empowered you. I have given you all the resources you need in the accomplishment of My purpose for your life.

I have given you the keys to open every door on your path. The people you need at every turn I have already given to you. I have given you the authority to make use of My Name. I have given you the power needed to execute all I have called you to do.

All these I have done for you because I have counted you faithful in Me.

Be not anxious, rest in my grace and be fully assured that you are enabled.”

ENABLED: endunamoo in the Greek. Meaning to Empower (Strong’s Concordance G1743).

You have Perfect Well-being in Me

Yes, Gleanings from the Book of Galatians.

We saw in our last discussion that, if you are led by the Spirit, then you are not under the law. We are led by the God within and not by carnal commandments. We do not trust to the flesh for there is nothing good in it, we look to and are led by the Spirit of Christ.

Then we hear;

Galatians 5:19-21
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

Every evil work mentioned above is in the flesh of all Christians. Our bodies carry these evil desires, but when we are led by the Spirit, we put to death the deeds of the body by His divine power in us.

Romans 8:12-13
Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live.

Now, the apostle said something we cannot just walk by in the afore quoted verses of the fifth chapter of Galatians, as he mentioned the works of the flesh.

He said “of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Now, what you see above is often used by religious people to put the Christian in bondage to fear, guilt and condemnation.

Before I say this, note that I am not advocating the pursuit of gross sinfulness.

But, at the time the apostle said this to the Galatia Churches, they were only charged of being bewitched by false brethren to fall back to the keeping of the law for righteousness.

The apostle only admonishes them not to partake of the lifestyle of unbelievers who are children of wrath by nature, practicing sin, and who do not have an inheritance in the kingdom of God. He was only asking them not to emulate their way of living.

We are not to copy their way of living, for we are children of the kingdom, qualified and already living in the kingdom of light:

Colossians 1:13
Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Hence, it was not a threat as though we inherit the kingdom of God by self-righteousness. It was not said as though, by we not being angry, not being wrathful, and not doing all the things mentioned as works of the flesh, can then have a part in the kingdom of God, but it was an admonition to live different from the sons of perdition.

Then we hear;

Galatians 5:22-23
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Observe carefully this statement “the fruit of the Spirit”

All the items mentioned above are not conditions but the fruit of the Spirit of God on our inside. They are not the root but the fruit of our born again Spirit.

It is pitiful when people think loving others, doing good and whatsoever, are a criteria for the kingdom.

When we love, it is a by-product of who we are. It is the manifestation of the spirit of God in us. It is never a criteria for anything but a revelation of the beauties of the Father in and through us. A fruit or a product of the Spirit in us.

Notice the fruit called “longsuffering”

Are you wondering why you have not denied Jesus despite years of suffering and waiting for the fulfilment of God’s promises upon your life?

It is because the Spirit of glory is upon you, He has laid hold on you, and through all you are going through, He is only manifesting the fruit of longsuffering in and through you.

You are not demonized. Do not think it strange that you are going through diverse temptations.

The truth of it is that, there is no law that can stop you now, you are unstoppable, for the attributes of your God; love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance are currently manifesting through you, and against such, there is no law. There is no law in existence that can stop you right now.

Hear the word of the Lord, “My Child, I have not created any weapon that can prosper against you. Neither have I created any law that can triumph against you.

You have perfect well-being in me. Therefore, rise up to who you are and say to the naysayers, “I am the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. Having the prosperity of my God. Secured in Christ, and Established in the Peace of My Father.”

This is your heritage My Child, for I have given unto you the free gift of righteousness.”

Isaiah 54:17
No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.

He Has Already Given You The Deliverance

Yes, Gleanings from the Book Of Galatians:

We saw in our last discussion, that there is a walk in the Spirit, and there is a work in the flesh,

Then we hear;

Galatians 5:17
For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.

Observe this statement carefully “For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit “

Now you may ask, what does it mean the flesh lusteth against the spirit?

This is it; Our bodies are completely dead to God. When we were in Adam, sin killed our bodies. Hence, our bodies are not subject to the will of God.

when we are saved, our salvation is complete in the Spirit, but not in our bodies, which is the reason we still sin.

Now that Christ is in us, though our mortal bodies are dead, there is a way out. The new and living way made available by the Spirit of Christ.

Romans 8:10
And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.

There is no mercy in the The law, it demands righteousness from our dead flesh. What a demand! You may say.

But is nothing good in the body, it is dead because of sin; so trusting in your ability, trusting in your strength to accomplish the will of the father is a failure from the thought to the attempt. The flesh is dead and in variance to God’s will.

There is something interesting we hear from the above verse;

“but the Spirit is life because of righteousness”

The life and righteousness the Spirit is our escape route. The part of us that is regenerated is the Spirit, the part of us that contains life is the Spirit, the part of us that is righteous is the Spirit.

So, if we must see the life of God manifesting in us, we must rest or look to or be led by the only part of us that is alive to God, the Spirit.

Which is the reason why we are told;

Galatians 5:18
But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law.

When we depend on the Spirit, our mortal bodies are quickened, the life in the Spirit revitalizes our flesh, giving power to our bodies to attend to God’s purposes.

This is why we cannot be sinless, sinless perfection is the idea of the devil. First, your body is already dead, it is to the degree that you depend on God that you can experience his life flowing through you.

We are daily dealing with a dead body, leaning on the Spirit to supply life to this body of sin.

Hence, we have failed, we do fail and shall fail as it is a practice, a journey until our Lord returns.

But there is now no condemnation to those that are led by the Spirit. We may not have arrived yet, But praise God! We have left.

We hear the apostle state above “But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law”

Being led by the Spirit is not a lifestyle of the law. It is in contrast to living under the law. Here, we are only practicing the allowing of our true natures, allowing of the righteous Spirit in us to manifest the life of God already in us.

We are not doing it to earn something, we are already born of the Spirit, born again righteous. The Spirit of righteousness in us is only expressing himself through us.

We are not seeking to be qualified, we are not living a beggarly lifestyle of trying to earn justification and blessings by the dead works of the flesh, No! We are aware, it is in our consciousness that we already have him in whom all things consist on our inside.

Therefore, we are only living our reality as Sons born of the Spirit. Sons of freedom. Sons of the Living God.

In an encounter with the Lord, I saw a Child of God in a car, I knew immediately within it was a vehicle of purpose. The door of the car was opened, so I leaned over to hear what the Lord was saying to this beloved one. As I went close, I heard this conclusive statement “honor the Lord, for he has already given you the deliverance”

When I heard this, the sense surrounding me was a tendency of hearts going cold to the faithfulness of God at the moment.

Colossians 1:12-13
Giving thanks unto the Father, which hath made us meet to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in light: Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us into the kingdom of his dear Son:

Then the Lord said, ” My Child, honor your father, keep giving thanks unto your father for I have already delivered you.

I have qualified you by the blood of my son, made you fit to be a partaker of the inheritance I have reserved for my Children.

Even though you are living in the world, you are in me, living in My kingdom for it has come down to the earth.

My child, Do not let your heart become cold, you are not subject to the power of darkness, for I have already carried you out of failure, sickness, poverty and disease into the kingdom of light. The kingdom of the son of my love. So honor your father with praise.

Let your gratitude resonate with a giving of thanks unto your father, for you are delivered! I have made you a partaker of the unsearchable inheritance in My kingdom”

A Blessing is Coming Upon You

Yes, Gleanings from the Book of Galatians.

We saw in our last discussion that we are the regenerated free sons of God in whom The Law is fulfilled, hence, we love one another as the manifestation of the nature of God as sons of the living God.

Galatians 5:15
But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

After warning wolves who came into to the church to distort the sound doctrine of justification by faith alone, he now turns to warn the Galatians from they themselves devouring one another.

It is unnatural for the sons of God with Power to live after the worldly manner. But at this time in the Galatian Churches, the doctrine that increases sin had entered, and the apostle foresaw that its effects, if not corrected, would be seen in the lives of these holy brethren.

Divisions, factions, malice, strife, envy would now creep in, since many were now turning to fables, looking to The Law for righteousness after been washed and recreated eternally righteous by the blood of our precious Jesus. Even as many will begin taking sides to which there is but one side or one way, Christ manifesting his love through the free grace of God.

Even though we have peace with God, factions and strife amongst ourselves hinder our experiencing this sweet and divine peace between each other.

Oh’ how sweet the fellowship of the brethren, a potting soil for the manifestation of the anointing.

Hence, there is need to reject the devouring of one another lest we be consumed by our own brethren even as the apostle warns the Galatian Churches.

Then we hear;

Galatians 5:16
This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The above verse will remain a mystery to you unless unveiled by the Spirit. It is key to understanding how to live in the grace of God.

You can’t just understand the simple statement mentioned above until the Spirit of God opens up your heart.

There is walk in the Spirit and there is a walk in The Law where the man who does these things shall live by them.

You can live in the Spirit or you can live in works of The Law. They are two different things and are completely antagonistic.

You can’t live in the law and manifest the life of the Spirit but if you walk in the Spirit you accidentally fulfill the Moral Law.

When you are wholly submitted to God, he changes your desires to the desires of the Spirit. Here God changes your will to his own will, and then by his power fulfils his counsel in you.

Here he takes all the glory because the entire initiative came from him and the performance of it also came by his sovereign Hand. This life is the free grace of God in manifestation where it is all of God and none of man.

Philippians 2:13
For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good pleasure.

He gives you new wantos, new desires, new willingness, and then empowers you to fulfil these desires. This is the life of Grace. It is God at work in a man.

It is God living his life in a man and not a following of religious prescriptions.

This is relationship. God wants relationship, we have been called to fellowship with the father and the son through the Holy Spirit and not to life of slavery as though we are not sons of the living God. Heirs of the incorruptible God.

Jesus died to bring us back to Union with God and not to modify a religion of bondage.

The desires of God cannot be contrary to his nature, hence we hear the apostle
state that, when you live in the Spirit “ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh”

This is what The Law cannot do. It gives you demands without empowering you to fulfil its requirements.

Dear beloved; when you look to Jesus, you may not be aware, but you radiate his Glory, when you behold Jesus you are living in the Spirit, you are being led by the Spirit, and are being changed into the same image from Glory to Glory as by the Spirit if the Living God.

In an encounter with The Lord, I saw a Child of God, despite her consistency in looking to Christ, I saw affliction upon affliction coming against her.

I saw anger and resentment trying to creep into her mind due to her prolonged wait. She was beginning to be angry,

But as I saw this, all I felt was the Lord saying “Do not be offended.”

I was led to:

Mark 4:17
And have no root in themselves, and so endure but for a time: afterward, when affliction or persecution ariseth for the word’s sake, immediately they are offended.

And again,

Matthew 11:6
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.

Then the Lord said, “My Child, do not offended. All the afflictions coming upon you have come to make you loose your hold upon my promises. My word is only proving you so you can bear much fruit, even fruit that will endure.

Do not be offended in me, it is because I have already spoken my word of blessing over you which is the reason the enemy is seeking to defile your perception.

Do not be discouraged at the manner I Am accomplishing things upon you. For the enemy is fighting to make you let go of your hope so you would be robbed of your inheritance.

My dear Child, there is a blessing coming upon you for refusing to be offended and standing strong in me. Blessed are you my Child, for you will not be offended in me.”

Rest Now! And Watch Me Build

Yes, Gleanings from The Book of Galatians,

We saw from our last discussion that we have been called unto liberty; liberty from the bondage Satan, sin, The Law, guilt and condemnation. But we are not to use our freedom as a reason to set a track record of sin, but to manifest the nature of God in us, through loving one another which is what the grace of Christ helps us achieve.

Then we hear;

Galatians 5:14
For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

The above verse gives us the substance of the Law. To love our neighbour even as we do ourselves.

Even though by The law we could not fulfil this demand, by the grace of God today it is fulfilled in us as we are partakers of the divine nature;

2 Peter 1:4
“that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

We are today regenerated as the associates of the God kind of nature. Remember God is Spirit and he that is joined to the Lord is one Spirit (1Cor. 6:17). We are in union with the nature of God today, and this nature is the nature of Love, for God is Love;

1 John 4:8
He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.

Hence, today we are born of God, loving others is not a criteria any longer, but the manifestation of the sons of God. A way of life for the Christian.

It is rather a proof that what The Law could not do, Christ has fulfilled in us. When we love one another, it is a proof that we carry the nature of God.

1 John 4:12
No man hath seen God at any time. If we love one another, God dwelleth in us, and his love is perfected in us.

Loving one another is a proof that the grace of God in us has fulfilled what the law could not fulfill in us.

So the statement “for the law is fulfilled in word, even this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself” is not made as a demand for us to earn something but for a demonstration of who we are, partakers of the nature of Love as free citizens in the kingdom of Christ.

In an encounter with the Lord, I heard “I see you are tired in the labour, rest now! and watch me build”

I was led to;
Isaiah 42:14-16
I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once. I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools. And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

Then the Lord said, “My Child, I see you are tired in the labour, but hear this My Child, I have long held my peace, I have been watching how things have come up against you as you have continued to labour in my will.

I have been still and have refrained myself, But now I AM crying out like a travailing woman. I AM destroying and devouring at once. I am making waste the mountains before you. Laying waste all the obstacles against the fulfilment of my word upon you!

I will now lead you by a way you have never known, opening up for you the treasures hidden in dark places, giving light to crooked things as I rebuild Zion. Darkness I AM turning to light before you. This I am doing even for the remnant I AM calling as I lead them to my house.

These things I do for you and will not forsake you. You are done, but I have kept you in my grace, rest now! and watch me build.”
